*IJERO FC WINS THRILLING OPENER AT TMOORE INITIATIVE YOUTH TOURNAMENT CUP IN EKITI EAST*

2nd March, 2026

The Tmoore Initiative Youth Tournament Cup kicked off today in Ekiti East, Omuo, with a thrilling match between Ijero FC and Oruju FC at The Polytechnic Omuo United Field. The event drew a large crowd of football enthusiasts eager to witness the display of skills and determination by young talents.

The match was closely contested, with both teams showcasing their prowess on the pitch. The first half ended in a stalemate, but Ijero FC took the lead in the 70th minute through a penalty converted by Ogundana Samuel. Ogundana Ezekiel later doubled the lead, securing a strong advantage for Ijero FC.

Daramola Idowu was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, demonstrating exceptional composure and technical skills.

In his post-match address, Tmoore Initiative Convener, Mr. Tolulope Wole-Adewumi, commended the players for their dexterity and technical skills. He reaffirmed his commitment to providing opportunities for Ekiti East youth to develop their skills and abilities, contributing to the growth of sports in the local government and the state.

The event was well-attended by community leaders and sports enthusiasts, who demonstrated their support for local football talent.
