🎄 This Christmas, 50 elderly women and widows in Ekiti State, didn’t have to worry about .

That was the goal, and thanks to compassion-driven action, it became a reality. At Plus-Circle Community Health Advancement Organization, we believe community is not only about clinics and prescriptions. It is about showing up, especially for those who are often marginalized. This small act of kindness meant warm meals, shared smiles, and the reminder that someone cares during the festive

Plus-Circle Community Health Advancement Organization yesterday, 9th December 2025, joined the ongoing activities commemorating the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV.

We actively participated in the road walk organized by the Ekiti State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, in collaboration with the Office of Her Excellency, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji (First Lady of Ekiti State), alongside civil society organizations across the state. Together, we amplified a unified message against all forms of gender-based violence targeted at women and girls.

Our advocacy message remains firm:

• Women are nation builders.
Their resilience, leadership, and contributions continue to shape families, communities, and societies at large.

• A man who abuses a woman has lost his manhood.
True strength is demonstrated through respect, protection, dignity, and equity not through violence.

As the 16 Days of Activism continues, Plus-Circle CHAO reaffirms its commitment to sustained , , and interventions.
Every step taken is a stand for justice.
Every voice raised strengthens the cause.
Together, we can end GBV.

Digital-GBV can leave lasting emotional scars on women and girls, including anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Mental health matters—seek support, talk to someone you trust, and report abuse. 💻

Gendered insults, degrading comments, and online attacks silence women and reinforce discrimination.
Hate speech is violence. Challenge it. Report it. Do not amplify it.

School girls face growing risks online—from cyberbullying and grooming to harassment and unsafe content.
Teach them to protect their data, avoid strangers online, report threats, and speak up early.

Women are often targeted with fake investments, romance scams, job fraud, and identity theft.
Stay alert: never share your bank details, OTPs, or passwords.
Verify every offer. Report suspicious messages immediately.
Protect your money. Protect your digital safety.

DAY 10: Online Grooming

Online grooming is a hidden but dangerous form of digital violence. It occurs when predators build trust with women or girls to exploit, manipulate, or abuse them.
It often begins subtly with compliments, gifts, or emotional support—before progressing into coercion, sexual pressure, or attempts to meet offline.

Be alert to the signs:
• Excessive flattery or personal attention
• Requests for secrecy
• Asking for private photos or video calls
• Sudden emotional manipulation
• Pressure to move conversations to private platforms

Protect yourself and others:
• Do not share personal information with strangers
• Block and report suspicious accounts
• Educate young girls on online safety
• Seek help immediately when something feels wrong

Online spaces must remain safe for women and girls. Awareness saves lives.
