2026 STATE OFFICERS’ BASIC TRAINING COURSE | BASIC FOUR PROJECT DEFENSE

The 2026 Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Ekiti State Council State Officers’ Basic Training Course continues at the Methodist Cathedral, Ifaki-Ekiti, as the Basic Four trainees take another significant step in their training journey through the Project Defense Session.

The Project Defense provides an opportunity for the Basic Four trainees to present their research projects before the designated panel, demonstrating their understanding of their chosen topics, the knowledge acquired, and their ability to communicate and defend their findings with confidence and clarity.

Beyond being an academic exercise, the session forms an important part of the trainees’ leadership development. It challenges them to strengthen their discipline, critical thinking, research skills, communication abilities, and readiness to take on greater responsibilities within the Brigade and in society.

Through questions, observations, corrections, and constructive assessments from the panel, the trainees are challenged to demonstrate depth of knowledge, sound reasoning, and practical understanding of their respective project topics.

As each trainee takes the stage to defend their work, the atmosphere reflects knowledge, confidence, discipline, preparation, and excellence—key values at the heart of the Basic Training Course.

, 2026 STATE OFFICERS’ BASIC TRAINING COURSE | DAY THREE | EXAMINATION COMMENCES

The 2026 Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Ekiti State Council State Officers’ Basic Training Course at the Methodist Cathedral, Ifaki-Ekiti, has entered a crucial stage as the Basic Training Course Examination officially commences today.

Following two days of intensive lectures, Bible Study, practical training, project defense, discipline, and leadership development, the trainees are now putting their knowledge, skills, and understanding to the test.

🎖️ EXAMINATION DAY IS HERE!

The examination commences with Drill Practicals, as trainees from Basic One, Basic Two, Basic Three, and Basic Four take turns demonstrating their practical knowledge, drill commands, coordination, discipline, precision, and understanding of the required training standards.

The practical examinations are being conducted across designated sections, with each category of trainees assessed according to the requirements and expectations of their respective Basic level.

From the precision of commands and movements to formation, coordination, teamwork, and overall discipline, every trainee is expected to demonstrate not only what has been taught but also the ability to apply the knowledge practically.

The atmosphere across the camp reflects focus, discipline, seriousness, and determination, as the trainees face this important stage of their training journey.

For the trainers and examination officials, this is an opportunity to assess the level of competence, preparedness, discipline, and practical understanding attained by the trainees throughout the course.

After two days of intensive lectures, Bible Study, practical training, project defense, discipline, and leadership development, the trainees are now faced with the ultimate academic test of the training course.

🎖️ TODAY IS EXAMINATION DAY!

This is the day that calls for the trainees to put into practice the knowledge, understanding, skills, and lessons acquired throughout the training. Every question presents an opportunity to demonstrate preparation, discipline, confidence, and commitment to the course.

For the trainers and instructors, this is also a significant moment to assess the effectiveness of the training, the level of understanding attained by the trainees, and the impact of the knowledge imparted throughout the programme.

đź“Ť REPORTING LIVE FROM THE CAMP | DAY TWO COMES TO A CLOSE

The 2026 Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Ekiti State Council State Officers’ Basic Training at the Methodist Cathedral, Ifaki-Ekiti, has successfully concluded its Day Two activities, bringing another impactful day of learning, training, discipline, and leadership development to a close.

One of the major highlights of the day was the Basic Four Project Defense Session, where trainees presented and defended their research projects before the designated panel.

The session provided the trainees with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, research abilities, critical thinking, confidence, and understanding of their respective topics. Through questions, observations, corrections, and constructive assessments, the trainees were challenged to further demonstrate their readiness for greater responsibilities within the Brigade and beyond.

With the successful completion of the project defense, Day Two concludes on a note of knowledge gained, lessons learned, skills developed, and experiences shared.

As the officers retire for the day, preparations continue for the activities ahead, including further training sessions and the Basic Training Course Examination tomorrow.

Indeed, every session is another step towards building disciplined, knowledgeable, confident, and effective leaders for the service of God and humanity.
