NDC NIGER STATE ADVANCES YOUTH-DRIVEN AGENDA IN STRATEGIC CONSULTATION WITH KWANKWASIYA LEADERSHIP.

A delegation from the National Democratic Congress in Niger State, led by gubernatorial flagbearer Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi, Wuzhi Soko, held a strategic consultation with the National Leader of the Kwankwasiya Movement, His Excellency Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso during the week.

The delegation included youthful flagbearers for various elective positions, party executives, and key stakeholders of the NDC Niger State Chapter. The engagement centered on national and state political priorities, party unity, and expanding youth inclusion in governance. Discussions also addressed democratic participation, progressive alliances, and policy strategies for sustainable development and economic growth in Niger State and Nigeria.

Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented leadership, youth empowerment, and policies that accelerate social advancement and economic transformation. Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi, NDC Gubernatorial Aspirant for Niger State, joined Honourable Umar Isah Baba Jagaba, NDC Aspirant for Suleja, Tafa and Gurara Federal Constituency, to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with the people of Suleja. The leaders also stopped by to greet Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim, CEO of Navy Holdings Ltd, at his residence. They exchanged Eid felicitations and discussed community development and youth empowerment.

The celebration reflected unity, sacrifice and gratitude. The leaders observed Eid prayer together, greeted residents and engaged with families across different wards. The atmosphere was one of joy, shared purpose and renewed commitment to public service.

Eid reminds us of sacrifice, compassion and responsibility. For leaders, it is a duty to prioritize the welfare of the people. True leadership means ensuring food security, quality education, accessible healthcare and opportunities for youth and women. ALHAJI YAHYA MUHAMMAD GUREGI ATTENDS NDC ASPIRANTS DINNER IN ABUJA, OUTLINES VISION FOR NIGER STATE IN MEDIA INTERVIEW

Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi, NDC Gubernatorial Aspirant for Niger State, attended the Nigeria Democratic Congress aspirants’ dinner in Abuja on Monday. The event, hosted by the party’s national leadership, brought together aspirants, party leaders and stakeholders from across the country to strengthen internal cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During the dinner, Guregi granted a media interview on his plan for Niger State. His responses focused on practical policy measures from his manifesto, anchored on inclusive governance, economic diversification and human capital development.

On agriculture, Guregi stated that he will decentralize the Ministry of Agriculture if elected governor. He explained that decentralization will allow the state to pursue agricultural industrialization, crops production and animal production simultaneously. The approach will reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, bring decisions closer to farming communities and create value chains that generate employment and increase rural incomes.

Guregi also outlined plans to explore the mining and natural resources of Niger State through transparent regulatory frameworks, responsible investment and direct benefits for host communities.

He argued that good governance reduces insecurity by delivering quality education, functional infrastructure, jobs and effective health institutions. He referenced his service as African Continental Governor of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organization, noting it informed his commitment to leave no community behind.

You represent the promise of our tomorrow, and your aspirations today are the foundation for a stronger and more prosperous state. It is our duty to create an environment where every child is safe, educated, and given the opportunity to thrive, irrespective of background or circumstance.

Throughout my years in public service, I have placed the welfare and development of children at the center of my priorities. As African Continental Governor of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organization, I ensured our initiatives upheld children’s rights, expanded access to quality education, and strengthened health systems that protect young lives. That commitment is not tied to any office. It is a principle I will carry forward as I seek to serve Niger State in a greater leadership role.

This year’s theme, “The Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” will guide my administration. ALHAJI YAHYA MUHAMMAD GUREGI GRIEVES OVER THE KILLING OF COMRADE JAFAR DABAWU ABDULLAHI AND DEMANDS ACTION AGAINST VIOLENT CRIME.

The death of Comrade Jafar Dabawu Abdullahi following an armed robbery attack is deeply saddening and unacceptable. Everyone who knew Comrade Jafar Dabawu Abdullahi attests to his good character, his respect for all, and his commitment to carrying his people along. One of his most remarkable qualities was his consistent desire to see those around him succeed, said H.E. Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi, who knew him from their time together in the Niger State United Youth Association.

H.E. Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi strongly condemns this criminal act that has taken the life of a young man married only four months ago. He stated that such violence against innocent citizens undermines public safety and the rule of law, and must be met with swift action by security agencies.

Truly, Niger State and the nation have lost a gentleman and a committed young leader whose type is rare. The passing of Comrade Jafar Dabawu Abdullahi is a loss to his family, his community, and to the cause of youth engagement in public life.

We condemn all forms of violent crime and call on relevant authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and the prosecution of those responsible.

May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, give his family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and protect our communities from further harm.

Service to the people is not only the motto of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, it is the mantra that defines youthful gubernatorial aspirant for Niger State, Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi. He made a working visit to the Niger State NDC party office in Bosso to meet party executives and was received warmly.

NDC National Publicity Secretary Hon Umar Farouk Auta opened the engagement and served as a bridge between state executives and Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi. He recounted the movement’s beginnings and introduced the youth aspirant to the state structure. He affirmed that Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi is prepared to contest for Niger State Governor and possesses qualities of responsive leadership, discipline, accessibility, and commitment to public service.

State Party Secretary Dr Mamman noted the coming election is about the people as much as candidates. He stressed that citizens are working hard to make ends meet, so the mandate must be to bring in credible and capable hands. He introduced the State Chairman, Youth Leader, Women Leader, Zonal Leader, Publicity Officer, and other officers.

Deputy State Chairman emphasized coordinated work from ward to national level and urged outreach to give grassroots members a sense of responsibility. Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi shared his vision for transparent governance, youth inclusion, and accountable leadership. Hon Albashir Aliyu Gidan Kwana said youth from 25 local governments pooled resources to buy the Expression of Interest form and presented it to the executives, who blessed it.

NIGER NDC GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANT ALHAJI YAHYA MUHAMMAD GUREGI MEETS KWANKWASIYA LEADER IN MINNA, NIGER STATE.

Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi, YMG, NDC gubernatorial aspirant for Niger State, visited the office of the Head of the Kwankwasiya Movement in Niger State. He was accompanied by the NDC National Publicity Secretary Hon. Umar Farouk Auta. The delegation met with Honorable Danladi Umar Abdulhameed, Tambarin Kagara, to formally notify him of the mandate to contest the governorship. The visit also sought his blessings, guidance, advice as an elder, and counsel on the way forward.

The National Publicity Secretary Hon.Umar Farouk Auta opened the meeting with prayers and introduced His Excellency Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi to Tambarin Kagara with due respect.

Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi addressed the gathering with clarity. He highlighted key points for good governance and stressed the central role of Tambarin Kagara in the Kwankwasiya Movement. He noted the movement’s respect for Tambarin Kagara’s commitment, experience, and mentorship to younger members. He added that leadership is in the hands of Allah, who giveth and taketh as He wills, and that all efforts must serve the people.

Tambarin Kagara received the delegation warmly and spoke on the need for youth in governance. He commended the delegation for engaging stakeholders and following due process. The youth presented the Expression of Interest form. He blessed the aspiration and pledged to work for NDC’s success in Niger State.
