OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, GOV. MUHAMMADU INUWA YAHAYA

_CONSOLIDATING APC’S GAINS IN GOMBE SOUTH-_ NO ROOM FOR EXPERIMENTS

Your Excellency,
We want to first salute your exceptional governance of Gombe State. From the unprecedented infrastructural developments across the State, to your laudable initiatives including the establishment of Local Government Administrative Offices across the State, numerous targeted projects you cited in Gombe South such as schools, healthcare upgrades, road constructions, etc, you have profoundly demonstrated what it means to lead with vision.

Beyond Gombe State, your stewardship as the Chairman of APC Northern Governors' Forum, has been historic. Under your watch, the APC has become the Party of choice, attracting so many Governors and Senators in a political realignment never seen in the annals of Nigeria’s democratic history. That is unprecedented result-oriented leadership.

THE GOMBE SOUTH QUESTION: ELECTORAL VALUE vs EXPERIMENT:
Your Excellency, as 2027 approaches, the stability you built is being threatened in Gombe South by political experimentation. With due respect, Sir, it is expedient we talk electoral value at this critical time.

Accordingly, as you are better informed than all, Distinguished Senator Anthony Siyako Yaro brings proven electoral capital to the table to supplement the great work you are doing.
A Winner with Records: Sen. Anthony Yaro won his 2023 Senate seat with a record vote tally no Senator has ever scored in Gombe South. That is acceptability. That is structure.

He has the political reach to mobilize Gombe South for the successful return of Mr. President, thanks to your political dexterity and sagacity never witnessed in the State. Politicians of Yaro's repute don't only contest, they move voters whose loyalty they earn, groups and caucuses.

Continuity: His ranking status in 2027 will earn him the Chairmanship of a key Senate Committee. That means more Federal presence in Gombe State, in form of jobs and infrastructure to complement your unparalleled developmental strides in the State.

THE OTHER ASPIRANTS: A RISK APC CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE:

Your Excellency, you taught us that loyalty and track records matter. Tested against that standard, the other aspirants are a liability:

A. Sen. Joshua Lidani: Lack of acceptability. The results of the 2023 election spoke loudly. Gombe South rejected the redundancy and monotony of an old wine in a new keg. We cannot retry a failed formula and expect APC's success sir.

B. Hon. Bilyaminu Babadidi
A most ideal representation of acute austerity of party loyalty and team spirit. After the 2022 Party Primaries, he took the Party to Court and refused to work for APC during the general elections. Sir, how do we trust a man who fights the house he wants to lead?

C. Hon. Jerry Joseph Damara
Untrustworthy and of no political value. We are sure you have information on every aspirant, but it's worthy of mention that beyond his immediate environment of Shongom, just 4 wards (Tangale speaking), which he is not even fully in control of, he is a lightweight politician who cannot garner any tangible pan-Gombe South support. Worse still, his words carry convey nothing but deceit, for after publicly declaring, in various fora, that he would never contest against his bosom friend and business partner, he now seeks the same seat he swore never to contest for.

A WORD OF SERIOUS CAUTION:
Your Excellency, you have preached loyalty as a core value that must not be compromised. We must not experiment with people without a track record of loyalty and outstanding performance, lest APC be branded a Party that rewards backstabbers and punishes loyalists.
If we field a first-timer, a rejected or a most untrustworthy aspirant against a sitting and winning Senator, we would have mortgaged and presented for destruction the most laudable outstanding work you have done in Gombe State.

OUR PRAYERS:

Sir, we advocate for continuity in Gombe South.
We respectfully urge you to:
1. Call for unity around proven electoral assets - Sen. Tony Yaro is APC’s strongest card in Gombe South.
2. Caution aspirants whose ambitions threaten the peace and electoral fortunes and goodwill you’ve built.
3. Protect APC from the perception that it sacrifices loyal, winning soldiers for aspirants with negligible electoral value.

Your Excellency, Gombe State cannot be built with bricks of betrayal, lest it collapse.

We trust your wisdom. Gombe South believes in you to ensure that the right thing is done.

For a greater Gombe South. For a stronger APC.

JOINT STATEMENT BY ALL BRANCHES OF THE
TANGALE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (TCDA)
IN SUPPORT OF COMRADE DANLADI BAKO AS NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF TCDA

We, the duly constituted branches of the Tangale Community Development Association (TCDA) across Nigeria, hereby issue this joint statement to reaffirm our collective position on the leadership of the TCDA and to dispel falsehoods currently being circulated.

We state clearly, unanimously, and without reservation that Comrade Danladi Bako is the legitimate and duly elected National President of the Tangale Community Development Association (TCDA).

Comrade Danladi Bako was lawfully elected in April 2025 through a transparent and constitutionally compliant electoral process conducted by the TCDA General Assembly, which—by the clear provisions of the TCDA Constitution—is the highest decision-making authority of the Association. That mandate was freely given by the Tangale people through their recognized branches and constituent bodies.

For the avoidance of doubt, no individual, group, government authority, or external actor has the power to appoint, impose, or recognize TCDA leadership outside the authority of the General Assembly. Any claim to TCDA leadership that does not emanate from this constitutional process is null, void, and of no effect.

Accordingly, we categorically reject and disassociate ourselves from Mr. Simon Lamiya, who has been parading himself as leader of the TCDA without mandate, constitutional authority, or recognition from any duly constituted TCDA branch. Mr. Lamiya does not represent the TCDA, does not speak for the Tangale people, and should be completely ignored by all Tangale sons and daughters.

We further state that the TCDA is an independent Tangale socio-cultural institution, founded by Tangale people and governed by its constitution. It is not subject to the control, endorsement, or recognition of any government authority, local government council, or traditional institution outside the will of the Tangale people.

We, the branches of the TCDA, also fully endorse and stand firmly by the recent Open Letter issued by Comrade Danladi Bako to Tangale sons and daughters. That Open Letter accurately reflects the collective position, grievances, identity, and aspirations of the Tangale people, and we adopt it as our common voice.

We therefore call on all Tangale sons and daughters, at home and in the diaspora, to:
• Remain united under the TCDA as the apex Tangale body,
• Give full support to Comrade Danladi Bako as National President, and
• Disregard all attempts to divide, misrepresent, or undermine the Tangale nation through impostors or externally sponsored narratives.

The Tangale people know their leaders.
The Tangale people know their constitution.
And the Tangale people will not be deceived.

We hereby draw the attention of the relevant security agencies to the activities of individuals parading themselves as leaders of the Tangale Community Development Association (TCDA) without constitutional authority or mandate. Such impersonation, misrepresentation, and deliberate misinformation have the potential to mislead the public, undermine lawful community leadership, and provoke unnecessary tension within Tangale communities. We therefore call on security agencies to take appropriate action, in accordance with the law, to prevent impersonation, maintain public order, and ensure that only duly elected and constitutionally recognized leadership structures are allowed to operate in the name of the TCDA.
