Reflecting on 1448AH after Hijra
First 10 days of Muharram , which is the first month of every new year for half of the world population, so many miracles happened. I’ll enumerate some:
Adam a.s was forgiven by Allah on that day
Ibrahim a.s was saved by Allah from fire on that day
Moussa a.s was saved from the terror of Firaun alongside his companions on that day
Eessa (Jesus) a.s was saved from the hangman’s nooses on that day
Muhammad s.a.w enter Medina on the 10th of Muharram with drums and songs on that day
He met the Jews fasting, in his characteristic manner, he asked them what the fasting is for?
They replied, it is the day Moussa a.s was given victory by Allah when Friaun and his war machine of human and materials, horses and all was drowned in the Red Sea while Moussa and his followers walk across same sea safely.
The Messenger of Allah s.a.w said, if that’s the case, I am closer to Moussa than the Jews. Moussa is my brother and so commanded the teaming companions to join in the fasting of that day. With a proviso, that next year they should make theirs 2 days to differ from the Jews one day.
With The Name Of Allah The Eternally Merciful The Especially Merciful
The trending across the world is the new year 1448AH. Someone asked me of what is this Hijra to humanity, families and development. How do one leverage on it? How consistent is Allah s.w.t in Character and doings?
