The massacre situation’s escalating fast and getting hard to keep up, with a heavy heart as Deputy Speaker (NYAN), I'd like to express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. The recent killings and massacres in Jos are indeed disheartening and worrisome.
The situation is unacceptable, and I join the call for the government to take immediate action to protect lives and property. We need to work together to address the root causes of this violence and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
As a youth leader, I urge all stakeholders, including security agencies, community leaders, and the government, to come together to find a lasting solution to this crisis. We must prioritize the safety and well-being of our citizens.
I'd like to echo the words of one of the Rep member. Dachung Musa Bagos, who called on citizens to defend themselves in line with the constitution, while also urging the government to take responsibility for protecting its citizens.
We will continue to monitor and speaks as youth leader in the north, the situation and work towards finding a peaceful resolution is paramount.
The people of Jos and other citizens in our dear country deserve to live without fear, it’s time for the government to rise in action not just words, let’s unite to stop the killing in jos and in the nation at large, every life matters.
Stop the killing in Jos, Benue and other part of the nation.
RH, Itodo Apeh Godswill,
Deputy Speaker Northern
Youth Assembly of Nigeria.
