The massacre situation’s escalating fast and getting hard to keep up, with a heavy heart as Deputy Speaker (NYAN), I'd like to express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. The recent killings and massacres in Jos are indeed disheartening and worrisome.

The situation is unacceptable, and I join the call for the government to take immediate action to protect lives and property. We need to work together to address the root causes of this violence and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

As a youth leader, I urge all stakeholders, including security agencies, community leaders, and the government, to come together to find a lasting solution to this crisis. We must prioritize the safety and well-being of our citizens.

I'd like to echo the words of one of the Rep member. Dachung Musa Bagos, who called on citizens to defend themselves in line with the constitution, while also urging the government to take responsibility for protecting its citizens.

We will continue to monitor and speaks as youth leader in the north, the situation and work towards finding a peaceful resolution is paramount.

The people of Jos and other citizens in our dear country deserve to live without fear, it’s time for the government to rise in action not just words, let’s unite to stop the killing in jos and in the nation at large, every life matters.

Stop the killing in Jos, Benue and other part of the nation.

Deputy Speaker Northern
Youth Assembly of Nigeria.

BREAKING BARRIERS, BEYOND PARTY LINES FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE A CALL TO BUILD A BETTER NORTH CENTRAL, NORTH EAST, NORTH WEST AND FCT NIGERIA.

The political landscape in Nigeria is at a critical juncture, demanding attention, introspection, and collective action from every citizen. It's imperative that we transcend the shackles of party affiliation and regionalism, and instead, unite under the banner of good governance. The future of our great nation hinges on our ability to prioritize the common good over parochial interests.

To the northern Youth, I say stay focused, stay vigilant, and stay committed to the cause of a better society. Our generation holds the key to unlocking Nigeria's vast potential. We should engage in the democratic process, demand accountability from leaders, and push for policies that promote inclusivity, equity, and justice.

Let us harness the power of our diversity to drive national development, and work towards a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive. The goal is clear a united, prosperous, and just nation.

The grip of partisan politics has indeed hijacked the pursuit of good governance in Nigeria. We're often forced to choose between party loyalty and the greater good, and sadly, the latter often suffers. This leads to decisions that benefit a few, rather than the many. To break this cycle, we need to reorient our priorities demand accountability, support leaders who put nation above party, and engage in politics that focuses on issues, not just identities.

Let us amplify our voice, help to spread awareness about the importance of good governance, engage in positive discussion about governance pushing for policies that benefit the youth and Nigeria at large, let’s prioritize unity and progress over partisan interests, and support initiatives that promote capital development and accountability.

Are we not tired of the end of the year bag of rice, chicken, cow meat, goat meat brought to entices us to buy our conscience at every festive period all in the name of am contesting or vying for a political position?

The practice of politicians using food items and other inducements to sway voters is a vicious cycle that's undermined Nigeria's democracy. It's like buying votes, not earning them through service or vision. This tactic creates a dependency culture, where citizens expect handouts rather than demanding accountability and good governance. To break this cycle, we need to change the narrative, prioritize voter education, support leaders who focus on policy and accountability, and demand transparency.

We are in a generation that needs to answer this question 👇🏽

What will you do to contribute to this vision of good governance?

Innocent lives are at risk, and communities are living in fear. Benue State is grappling with a surge in security threats, day to day killings, It's time for the government to take decisive action.

The Alarming Situation:
* Frequent attacks, kidnappings, banditry and herdsmen attack
