*Happy New Month – June 2026*
As we welcome the month of June, we renew our commitment to a future where every child in Nigeria is safe, protected, and given the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
This month, we INFANS ADVOCACY INTERNATIONAL, NIGERIA, IAI, reflect with deep concern on the devastating impact of insecurity on education, particularly the recent abduction of school children and teachers in Oyo State.
Every child deserves the right to learn in a safe environment, free from fear and violence. Incidents that threaten this right not only traumatize children and families but also undermine efforts to reduce the number of out-of-school children across our nation.
When schools become unsafe, education suffers. Families become fearful, school attendance declines, and more children are exposed to risks such as child labour, exploitation, and other vulnerabilities. Protecting children and securing learning spaces must remain a national priority.
As child rights advocates, we call on all stakeholders to:
✅ Strengthen measures that ensure the safety and security of schools and learning environments.
✅ Support initiatives that promote access to quality education for every child.
✅ Advocate for policies and actions that protect children from violence, abuse, and exploitation.
✅ Work collectively to ensure that no child is denied an education because of insecurity or fear.
This June, let us reaffirm our shared responsibility to safeguard the rights, dignity, and future of every Nigerian child. Together, we can build a society where every child is safe, in school, and empowered to reach their full potential.
To every child, parent, teacher, and caregiver facing challenges, we stand with you and remain committed to championing a brighter future for all children.
*Happy New Month!*
