At Midpoint, we believe that every child deserves more than just a seat in a classroom; they deserve a fair shot at life, a reason to smile, and the tools to build a future they can be proud of.

It’s heartbreaking to know that many children are still fighting for basic rights like education and dignity, but it’s also what drives us to do what we do.

Our hearts are especially full today as we reflect on our journey with the Knosk N100-a-day Charity School. Seeing these resilient, brilliant students thrive knowing that together, we are breaking the cycle of poverty through the power of a book and a pen is the greatest gift we could ever ask for.

To every child out there: You are seen, you are valued, and you are capable of extraordinary things. We aren’t just rooting for you today; we are rooting for you every single day.

Let’s all take a moment today to be the village that raises a child. Whether it’s through a kind word, a helping hand, or a commitment to their education, let’s ensure no child is left behind.

Happy Children’s Day from all of us at Midpoint! Let’s keep building a world where every child can truly live as they were meant to with hope, joy, and a bright future ahead.

International Day of the Boy Child, and at Midpoint, it’s a day that hits close to home.

When we look at the boys in the communities we serve, we don’t just see "vulnerable youth." We see future fathers, teachers, leaders, and peacebuilders.

But we also see the weight they carry the pressure to grow up too fast, the lure of the wrong path, and the lack of a steady hand to guide them.

Our vision is simple:
No boy should have to navigate life alone.
Through our work, we’re focused on three things that every boy needs to thrive.

1. Somewhere to learn and grow without the shadow of conflict.
2. Teaching that true strength isn't about power, but about integrity and empathy.
3. Giving them the tools and the hope to believe that their future isn't defined by their current struggles.

By investing in them now, we aren't just changing one life; we are changing the trajectory of an entire community. Let’s celebrate their potential and commit to being the bridge they need to cross over into a bright, purposeful adulthood.

In February, our team of researchers traveled to Barkin Ladi to document the struggle for Freedom of Religion and Belief. We walked through Sabon Layi as one of the places the data were collected.

We didn't just collect "data" we sat with families who faced the unthinkable: one of the most recent attacks occurred while the community was gathered in mourning, out for a mass burial.

To be targeted while laying loved ones to rest is an unimaginable cruelty. We listened to mothers who have no more tears to shed, fathers who can’t go to farms to harvest, and children who now look at the horizon with fear instead of wonder.

Our hearts are heavy. It is a profound injustice to watch a community be dismantled piece by piece while the world remains silent. These aren’t just security breaches; they are assaults on the very soul of Plateau State.

When a life is taken, a piece of the future dies with it. When a market is burned or a farm abandoned out of fear, the economy doesn't just "decline" families go hungry.

The people of Barkin Ladi deserve the right to sleep without fear, to work their land with pride, and to bury their dead in peace.

Enough is enough. The lack of conscience behind these attacks is staggering, but our commitment to telling these stories will not waver. We at Midpoint stand in solidarity with Plateau State.

This Easter, Midpoint Nigeria stands with you to celebrate the incredible depth of God’s love and the gift of Salvation.

Even as we face a world that feels increasingly chaotic and navigate the specific hardships within our own borders, we refuse to let these challenges dampen our spirit. Easter reminds us that light always conquers darkness and hope is never truly lost.

We celebrate because the resurrection is proof that no matter how messy or difficult life in Nigeria may seem, God’s grace is sufficient and His victory is final. Our joy isn’t based on our current circumstances, but on the fact that Christ overcame the grave to give us a future.

Today, we choose to look past the noise and the struggles, focusing instead on the peace that comes from being redeemed.

From all of us at Midpoint Nigeria, may the strength and hope of the risen Christ fill your hearts and homes this season.

Happy Easter!

Pray for Jos, Nigeria 🇳🇬

On Palm Sunday (March 29, 2026) at around 7 to 8pm, a deadly attack struck Angwan Rukuba in Jos, Plateau State. Armed men opened fire on civilians in the evening as people were heading home, socializing or sitting outside. At least 10–20 people are reported to have been killed.

The attack has heightened fear in a region already marked by deep intercommunal tensions.

Among the victims is a mother who lost her son. Her grief reflects the pain many families are now carrying.

🙏 Please pray for:
• The families who have lost loved ones
• Healing for those affected by trauma and those still receiving treatment in hospitals
• Peace in Plateau State
• Protection for those at risk

Please also keep in prayer Midpoint’s local staff in Nigeria, who continue to serve tirelessly—often under difficult and dangerous conditions.

Midpoint remains committed to supporting affected communities and promoting peaceful coexistence and freedom of religion or belief.

Today, as the world celebrates International Women's Day, we reflect on the strength, courage, and resilience of women who continue to rise even after unimaginable loss.

In many conflict-affected communities in Plateau State, widows carry the invisible weight of grief, responsibility, and survival. After losing their spouses to years of violence, many women are left to rebuild their lives while caring for children and navigating deep economic and emotional challenges.

At Midpoint Nigeria, we believe that every woman deserves not just survival, but stability, dignity, and opportunity.

Through our “From Survival to Stability” initiative, we are committed to walking alongside widows across Plateau communities by:

✨ Providing livelihood and vocational skills training
✨ Supporting Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) to strengthen financial independence
✨ Offering seed capital and mentorship for small businesses and agriculture
✨ Creating safe spaces for psychosocial healing, peer support, and community rebuilding

Our vision is simple but powerful:
To help women move from loss to leadership, from survival to stability, and from vulnerability to economic independence.

Because when women heal, families recover.
When women thrive, communities rebuild.
And when women are empowered, peace becomes possible.

This International Women's Day, we celebrate the courage of widows and recommit ourselves to building pathways for them to rise again.

Empowered women rebuild communities.
