On Monday, 23rd March 2026, Mr. Chidera, in the company of Ms. Melissa Adoro, paid an advocacy visit to the Assistant Librarian, Plateau State Library Board, Mrs. Paulina Dalap Leo. During the visit, they also donated, on behalf of MCHF, self-help books aimed at reviving reading habits among youngsters.

In her vote of thanks, Mrs. Paulina, who warmly received the team, stated that the visit, message, and donation from MCHF were highly welcome and timely. She noted that the state library, as a vital learning hub in society, is the ideal place for such a gesture.

She recounted how, in the past, some indigent and destitute individuals had visited the library and encountered books that transformed their lives for the better. She also expressed concern over the declining reading culture among youths, attributing it to excessive time spent on social media and other distracting, less empowering activities.

However, she revealed that the State Library Board, under the leadership of the Chief Acting Librarian, Mr. Jamal Y. Haruna, is set to commence sensitization activities in primary and secondary schools across the state. These efforts are aimed at reviving reading habits among the younger generation.

She pledged that the library management would make the most of the donated materials and expressed hope for sustained collaboration between the Plateau State Library Board and the MCH Foundation, towards fostering development through capacity building driven by good reading habits.

At Maiden Care Health Foundation, we believe healthy habits should start early and they should be fun! 🍎✨

Vegetables don’t have to be boring. With a little creativity, you can turn simple veggies into colorful animals, rainbows, and playful shapes that kids will love. When healthy foods look exciting, children are more likely to try them and enjoy them.

🥕 Carrot sticks for crunch
🥒 Cucumbers for freshness
🌶️ Bell peppers for color
🥦 Cauliflower for texture

Making veggie snacks playful helps children build a positive relationship with healthy food.

*Tip for parents:*
Let kids help design their snack plates. When children participate in preparing their food, they are more excited to eat it!

Healthy eating today builds strong bodies and bright minds for tomorrow. 💪🌟
