Be honest. You saw the reminder in the group chat. You meant to go. You did not go.
And tomorrow you will ask: “So what did they decide?”

Here is the uncomfortable truth:
The 20 people who showed up get to decide what happens to the road you use, the light outside your house, the gate your children walk through.
Not because they are special. Because they were present.

Presence is power. And most of us keep giving ours away one missed meeting at a time.

Project35TEN is building circles of Nigerians who have decided to stop missing the meeting.

Are you one of them?

In Malawi, a group of mothers looked at their failing school and made a decision.
Not to wait. To organise.
They pooled everything they had. Less than 30 dollars.
And they brought their children back to school.
No government. No NGO. No perfect conditions.
Just a circle of people who decided the problem was theirs to solve.
What could your community do with what it already has?

Today we honour every Nigerian who wakes up and shows up.

The teacher who gives everything to her classroom every single day.
The nurse on a long shift who still finds time to care.
The farmer who feeds the nation one harvest at a time.
The trader who beats traffic before the city is awake.
The engineer who brings his best to every project.

Nigerian workers are not just surviving. They are building something.
Every day. In every corner of this country.
That is not small.
That is the foundation everything else stands on.

Happy Workers Day from all of us at Project35TEN. 🇳🇬

What does the Nigeria we want actually look like?

We believe it looks like one nation, united across its diversity, inclusive of every citizen regardless of gender, age, region, or background, and governed by institutions that exist to serve the people, not the other way around.

That is not naive. That is a direction worth moving in, consistently, deliberately, and together.

Every informed citizen is a step toward that Nigeria. Every small act of civic engagement compounds into something larger. Every conversation that builds understanding brings that vision closer.

That is why we do this work.

What does your vision of Nigeria look like?

Every organisation has a mission statement. Not every organisation means it.

Ours is simple: build a disciplined, citizen-led movement that focuses on policy, systems, and long-term national transformation.

Not short-term noise. Not reactionary politics. Not performative activism. A deliberate, structured movement of informed Nigerians who understand the system they are trying to change and show up consistently to change it.

That is the work. And it starts with you.

Every day, Nigerians wake up, go out, and do extraordinary things in ordinary circumstances.

They build businesses without reliable power. They send children to school despite the challenges. They serve their communities quietly, consistently, without recognition or reward.

That is not a broken people. That is a resilient one.
Project 35TEN exists for those Nigerians. The ones who are done waiting and ready to do. The ones asking not “when will things change?” but “what can I do to make things better, right here, right now, in my community?”

Because that is where change actually begins. Not in Abuja. Not in a government office. But in the daily choices, actions, and commitments of ordinary citizens who decide that their community is worth showing up for.

We are citizen-led. Policy-focused. Built for the long term.

And we are looking for Nigerians who are ready to ask that one question and answer it.

Nigeria has some of the most innovative minds on the continent. The startups. The developers. The creatives building solutions from Lagos to Kaduna to Port Harcourt and the momentum they are building is remarkable.

Now imagine what becomes possible when the policy environment, the infrastructure, and the institutions are fully optimised to support and accelerate that momentum.

Technology is not a magic solution. But in a country with this much talent and this much ambition, the right innovation ecosystem backed by smart policy and strong institutions could accelerate Nigeria’s transformation in ways few other things can.

That conversation is worth every Nigerian being part of.
What tech or innovation development would you most love to see in Nigeria?

Nigeria’s greatest resource has always been its people.
And when women and young people who represent the majority of that population are fully included in economic opportunity, leadership, and civic life, the whole country moves faster and further.

A woman with access to credit builds a business that creates jobs. A young person with a seat at the table brings fresh thinking to old problems. An inclusive society draws on the full depth of its talent and the results show.

This is not just a conversation about fairness. It is a conversation about national potential. And Nigeria has more than enough of it to go around.

What do you think would most accelerate inclusion for women and young people in Nigeria?

Governance is not something that only happens in Abuja. It happens in your local government. In your state house of assembly. In every public institution you interact with every day.

And it gets better when citizens are informed, engaged, and showing up not just on election day, but consistently. Understanding how the system works is the first step to making it work better for everyone.

That is the opportunity before us. A Nigeria where governance at every level delivers for every citizen. And it grows closer every time an informed citizen chooses to engage.

What does good governance look like to you at the local level?
