Give to Gain: Celebrating Women’s Impact, sustaining Progress, Shaping the Future.

Three days ago, SproutBud, in collaboration with the SproutBud W.O.M.E.N Initiative, commemorated International Women’s Day through a special session with participants of the Young Women’s Entrepreneurship Launchpad.
The session featured insightful remarks, a keynote address, and an engaging dialogue where participants reflected on women’s impact, shared experiences from the Launchpad, and discussed opportunities for continued growth and leadership.
We appreciate our keynote speaker, facilitators, and all participants whose contributions made the conversation meaningful and inspiring.
Together, we remain committed to empowering women, sustaining progress, and shaping a more inclusive future.

Last Saturday, we convened a critical conversation anchored on the Sexual Harassment of Students (Prevention and Prohibition) Bill, 2025, using our policy brief as a lens to examine why students remain unsafe on our campuses.
In the keynote address, SBWI Head, Elizabeth Christopher, presented the policy brief, highlighting the Bill’s key provisions, its gaps, and the urgent need for implementation, oversight, and accountability to turn policy into real protection for students.

Panelists and participants then explored persistent barriers to reporting: fear of academic punishment, limited awareness of procedures, and institutional systems that have repeatedly failed students, among others. These failures, more than silence, are what keep survivors from seeking justice.
The depth of engagement and participant insights reminded us that implementation, trust, and accountability are where the real work lies.

We’re deeply grateful to our panelists and everyone who joined the conversation, for your honesty, thoughtful contributions, and willingness to engage with difficult truths. Your voices, questions, and lived experiences gave this discussion its meaning and urgency. Thank you for showing up and helping move this work forward.
