Today, we join millions around the world to honor those we’ve lost, stand with those living with HIV, and renew our commitment to ending stigma and discrimination.

This year’s theme, “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response,” reminds us that progress is possible even in challenging times when communities, health systems, and governments work together with purpose and compassion.

At Tswangi Development Initiative, we remain committed to:

Earlier this month, we spent a meaningful day with the girls of Wassa IDP Camp, Abuja, celebrating their strength, courage, and leadership.

Through storytelling and open conversations, they shared their dreams and the realities of being girls in challenging circumstances — reminding us that even in crisis, girls are leading with courage and hope. ✨

🌸 Empowering Girls, Breaking Stigma: Our World Menstrual Hygiene Day Outreach

In May, we joined the global commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day with an engaging outreach at Junior Secondary School, Kabusa.

The Tswangi Development Initiative (TDI) team led interactive sessions filled with open conversations, learning, and laughter. Together, we discussed menstrual hygiene, debunked myths, and demonstrated how to manage periods safely and confidently.

We also distributed sanitary pads to support the girls’ menstrual needs — a small but meaningful step toward ensuring every girl feels informed, confident, and cared for.

10 Tips to Staying Healthy

At TDI, we believe that good health is the foundation for a productive and fulfilled life. Here are 10 simple yet powerful tips to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle:

1. Eat a Balanced Diet
Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins in your daily meals. Avoid processed foods and excess sugar.

2. Stay Hydrated
Drink at least 6–8 glasses of clean water every day. Proper hydration boosts energy and supports every function in your body.

3. Exercise Regularly
Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity daily. Walking, dancing, or even home workouts count!

4. Get Enough Sleep
