Transforming connectivity across the Kalabari Kingdom!

His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, has officially commissioned the 19.79km Buguma–Abalama–Tema–Degema–Abonnema Road, along with 17 rehabilitated bridges.

This landmark project, spanning Asari-Toru, Degema, and Akuku-Toru Local Government Areas, represents a significant boost to regional commerce, safer transportation, and improved connectivity across the Kalabari Kingdom.

The ceremonial ribbon was cut by His Majesty, King Dr. Disrael Gbobo Bob-Manuel II (KSC, DSSRS), Amanyanabo and Paramount Ruler of Abonnema Kingdom, symbolically handing over this vital infrastructure to the people of the Kalabari ethnic nationality.

Renewed Hope Ambassadors Join Rivers Reconciliation Efforts to Foster Unity

Port Harcourt, Rivers State – The Rivers State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), His Excellency, Ambassador Desmond Eze Akawor, DSSRS, on Sunday joined other members of the Senator Magnus Abe-led Reconciliation Committee at the Government House, Port Harcourt, as the committee concluded its reconciliation process aimed at unifying all political camps in Rivers State.

The meeting marked a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to strengthen unity, foster collaboration among political stakeholders, and chart a common path toward lasting peace, stability, and development in the state.

Members of the reconciliation committee reaffirmed their commitment to setting aside political differences in the greater interest of Rivers State. They emphasized that unity, dialogue, and mutual understanding remain critical to achieving sustainable progress and effective governance.

Speaking after the meeting, Ambassador Desmond Eze Akawor reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to supporting initiatives that promote reconciliation, peace, and inclusive leadership. He stressed that a united Rivers State would be better positioned to deliver meaningful development and improve the well-being of its people.

The reconciliation initiative, spearheaded by Senator Magnus Abe, is widely seen as a strategic step toward strengthening political cohesion and fostering a stable environment for governance and socio-economic growth in Rivers State.
