📰 WE MADE THE NEWS! 🎉💜

We are delighted to share that Embracing the Girl Child Initiative (EGCI) has been featured in today’s 11th August 2026 edition of The Nation Newspaper, on Page 21, highlighting our outreach to an IDP Camp in commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day.

This outreach was more than an event—it was a reminder that every girl deserves dignity, access to menstrual hygiene products, accurate information, and the opportunity to thrive, regardless of her circumstances.

We are grateful to our partners, volunteers, donors, and everyone who continues to support our mission of empowering the girl child to live life without confines. 💜

This recognition belongs to every girl we serve and every person who believes that no girl should be held back because of her period.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
AWARENESS IS PROTECTION. 💜

Laws are only truly effective when people know they exist, understand their rights, and know where to seek help.

Community sensitization and engagement remain at the heart of our work at Embracing the Girl Child Initiative (EGCI). Through open conversations and accessible legal education, we empower individuals and communities to recognize abuse, understand their rights, challenge harmful practices, and speak up when violations occur.

In this video, our Founder speaks on the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act (VAPP Act)—helping community members understand the protections available to them and the importance of taking action against violence in all its forms.

We believe that lasting change begins with informed communities. When people know better, they are better equipped to protect themselves, support survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, and build safer communities for everyone.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s educate. Let’s engage. Let’s empower.
