About 18 years ago I was posted to serve in the far North of Taraba state Nigeria, few weeks into service year, I put up an inscription on my wall which read, I AM SINGLE AND SEARCHING FOR MORE OF GOD, WHEN I FIND HIM, I WOULD BE FOUND OUT.

Somehow, I wasn’t so focused on marriage (strange because that was the era where the next thing we wanted after service was to get married). All my heart was yearning for was GOD, I thought there will be a point I would get to in life that I would say “I HAVE FOUND ALL OF GOD” I had a knowing that when I get to that point I would be found out, again I also know well enough that I wasn’t supposed to find but to be found out.

There were guys that came to my room then and on seeing the inscription on the wall, they just turned back.

I remember my roommate and friend Esther returning from a prayer meeting one night and she said to me "we went to talk to God about our marriages in fact we told God when we wanted to be married but we didn’t know what to pray for you". I didn’t have an answer for her all I wanted was more of God. Graciously Esther and our other friends got married within the time frame they prayed about.

There was Rabbi (Ernest Adubasim) our Bible study secretary, on seeing the inscription on my wall he laughed (To be continued by 12 noon)

Hey friends, who's going to tell the men? 🤔

Some men are waiting a long, long time to get married and have kids. They say, "I need more money first!" 💰 Or, "I need to finish my PhD!" 🎓 They want to be "super ready."

But guess what? Your body has a clock too. Just like an egg timer. 🕰️ Your s***m gets older. It's not talked about much, but it's true.

Think about it: Kids need LOTS of energy! 🏃‍♂️ They need you to pick them up, play for hours, and stay up late if they're sick. Will you be strong enough? Or will your body already be tired and achy? 😴 Raising a family takes real strength.

And what about time? You get less time with your kids the longer you wait. They grow up super, super fast! 🚀 Don't you want to be there for all the fun stuff? To teach them, play with them, and just *be* with them?

Being "ready" isn't about having everything perfect. God helps you learn as you go! 🙏 It's like learning to ride a bike. You don't wait until you're a pro cyclist. You just get on and start pedaling, learning along the way. 🚴‍♂️

And let's be honest: good women aren't just sitting around waiting forever. They are smart, strong, and busy. 💪 They want a partner now, someone to build a life with, not someone they have to wait for forever.

So, who will tell the men? Who will say: "Brother, start building your family *now*. Not later. Not when everything is perfect. Just start!"
