NORTH CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OUR CONCERNS

Senator Bamidele's move to amend the bill is quite surprising, especially since the Senate just passed the bill establishing the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) with its headquarters in Lafia. The bill was sponsored by Senator Abba Patrick Moro and other senators from North Central Nigeria, and it's unclear what changes Senator Bamidele is proposing or why.
It's possible that he has some concerns about the commission's structure or funding, but without more information, it's hard to say. What's certain is that any amendments to the bill will need to be carefully considered to ensure they align with the original intent of the commission, which is to promote development and economic growth in the North Central region.
The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) is currently headquartered in Lafia, and I think it's best to keep it that way. The commission was established to promote development and economic growth in the North Central region, and Lafia is a central location that allows for easy access to all the states in the region. Moving the commission to a different location could disrupt the progress that's been made so far and create unnecessary challenges for the people who rely on its services.
It's also worth noting that the NCDC has a clear mandate to focus on the North Central region, and moving the commission to a different location could blur that focus. The commission's website mentions that it's responsible for coordinating and harmonizing intervention programs and initiatives in the region, and it's best to keep that coordination happening in the heart of the region.
So, all things considered, I think it's best to keep the North Central Development Commission in Lafia, where it can continue to serve the people of the North Central region effectively.
