Tribute to Nigeria at 65: Reflections and Resolve!🇳🇬
Today, we celebrate 65 years of Nigeria’s journey; a path defined by challenges that have tested our collective resolve, yet revealed the extraordinary resilience, courage, and patriotism of Nigerians. Despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles, we have made undeniable progress, a testament to the enduring spirit of our people and their unyielding hope for a brighter future.
As it is written, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair” (2 Corinthians 4:8). This scripture aptly captures the resilience of Nigerians; a people who, despite the weight of adversity, remain steadfast in their pursuit of progress and unity.
While we acknowledge the struggles and shortcomings in purposeful governance, we also celebrate the unwavering faith and perseverance of Nigerians. This resilience remains the foundation of our steady march forward, even in the face of steep and uncertain terrain. “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). Indeed, Nigeria’s journey reminds us that perseverance is key to building the future we envision.
Time and again, Nigerians have demonstrated their ability to rise above adversity, united by a shared vision of a prosperous and secure nation. As the scripture says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Let us, therefore, embrace a renewed vision for our nation, one that inspires hope, unity, and determination among all citizens.
As we mark this historic anniversary, let us renew our commitment to nation-building. Let us believe not only in the Nigeria we see today, but also in the boundless potential of what it can become. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). With faith and collective resolve, we can transform our narrative and contribute meaningfully to the emergence of a nation we can all proudly call home.
Above all, let us inspire and empower our youth, the torchbearers of tomorrow to dream boldly and work tirelessly toward a future that is secure, inclusive, and abundant with opportunities. As scripture encourages, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). By investing in our youth, we sow seeds for a brighter and more prosperous Nigeria.
Together, our collective resolve can build a Nigeria worthy of its promise; a nation that stands tall on the global stage and shines as a beacon of hope for generations to come. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord”(Psalm 33:12). May Nigeria continue to rise as a nation under God’s favor and guidance.
Happy Independence Day! May we continue to rise, united and steadfast, toward the greatness that lies ahead.
Long live, The Federal Republic of Nigeria!🇳🇬
