Dear Esteemed Members,

On this year’s International Women's Day, I warmly celebrate every member of the NBA Lawyers with Disabilities Forum and commend the courage, resilience, and excellence that women continue to demonstrate within the legal profession and society at large.

The theme for this year, “Give To Gain,” reminds us that progress is achieved when we extend support, mentorship, and opportunities to one another. Today, we particularly honour the strength and invaluable contributions of women with disabilities in the legal profession who continue to break barriers, inspire change, and advance the ideals of justice and inclusion.

As a Forum, let us remain committed to fostering an environment where every woman, regardless of circumstance, is empowered to thrive, lead, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of our profession and society.

Today, December 3rd, as the world marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to building a society where ability is recognized, barriers are dismantled, and dignity is non-negotiable.

This year’s theme, “Fostering Disability-Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress “ is a direct call to action for governments, institutions, and professionals to move beyond symbolism into measurable inclusion.

At the NBA-LWDF, we remain resolute in our mandate to champion access to justice, equitable opportunities, and full participation for Persons with Disabilities across all spheres of life.
