On April 17, we join the global community in recognizing World Hemophilia Day—a day to raise awareness about Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, and to stand in solidarity with individuals and families across Africa.
Across the continent, many people living with bleeding disorders still face delayed diagnosis, limited access to treatment, and low awareness. Today is a reminder that change is possible—and that each of us has a role to play.
Here’s how you can take action:
🔴 Learn the signs of hemophilia and share accurate information within your community
🔴 Encourage early testing and diagnosis, especially for children with unexplained bleeding
🔴 Support local patient organizations and advocacy groups
🔴 Speak up for improved access to treatment and healthcare services
🔴 Use your voice on social media to spread awareness and reduce stigma
Together, we can help ensure that people living with bleeding disorders across Africa receive the care, support, and dignity they deserve.
