UNEDITED VIDEO — A JOURNEY OF COMPASSION, JUST WATCH TO THE END

This was our trip to Enayon Orphanage Foundation Children School, Makoko, Yaba LCDA, Lagos, where we discovered that some of the children were sleeping and studying on bare floors.

The journey was not easy. The stress, the distance, the difficult terrain, the water, the bush, and the places where there seemed to be no road but our passion kept pushing us forward.

Sometimes, to reach the people who truly need help, you have to go beyond your comfort zone. You have to leave the easy roads behind, cross the waters, pass through the bushes and, where there is no road, create a way to get there.

We went there not just to see their situation, but to do something about it.

Today, 50 mattresses were donated to the children, a simple gesture, but one that means they can sleep a little more comfortably, dream a little bigger, and wake up knowing that someone cares.

This is what My People First Foundation stands for
Serve Humanity • Empowering Communities • Saving Lives.

We go where the need is greatest.
We listen to the unheard.
We reach the unreachable.
And we remind people that their lives matter.

Because for us, humanity has no boundary, compassion has no distance, and no place is too far to reach when there is a life waiting for hope.

My People First Foundation — touching lives, one community at a time.

REACHING THE COMMUNITIES THAT NEED US MOST

The communities of Rubochi and Gwagwarda in Kuje Area Council of the FCT, Abuja, are remote, predominantly farming and herding communities.

We were deeply grateful for the warm reception when the people heard that My People First Foundation had included their communities in our healthcare outreach. It was amazing to see residents coming from different settlements, calling one another and saying, “There is free healthcare here, come and be a beneficiary.”

They came out in numbers at different times, and we had a truly remarkable experience serving them. The traditional rulers, palace chiefs and their staff also played a wonderful role in coordinating the communities and ensuring that we had a smooth and impactful time attending to their people.

One of the most beautiful things we witnessed was the peaceful relationship between the Fulani herders and farmers, working and living together while looking forward to a better future for their communities. The happiness on their faces was a powerful reminder that service to humanity knows no boundaries.

At My People First Foundation, we will continue to identify communities where people have limited access to essential healthcare and other humanitarian services. Whenever we find such communities, we will not hesitate to get involved.

As we welcome the beautiful month of October, we wish you peace, good health and greater opportunities.

We are coming to your neighbourhood soon.

DAY 2: BEYOND THE CLINIC, INTO THE SLUM

Day 2 of our 3-day Nationwide Medical Outreach in Makoko Community, Yaba LCDA, Lagos State, was more than just healthcare it was a day of emotions, compassion and deep reflection on the value of human life.

At the Baale Jeje Palace, Thousands of adults and children came out to receive free medical consultations, diagnoses, treatment and other healthcare services.

But My People First Foundation under the leadership of Haj Aishat Oyiza Omade knew that our mission could not end at the palace when we identified new challenges in the community

We went deeper into the Makoko slum, reaching people living in some of the most difficult conditions, bringing healthcare directly to their doorsteps.

We distributed hundreds of mosquito nets and Rain coats to residents, particularly those living inside the water, to help protect families from mosquito-borne diseases.

We also identified and supported elderly women who depend on petty trading for survival, providing cash assistance to help them sustain their businesses including women who sell their goods from canoes inside the community.

Sometimes, you don’t need to be told how difficult life can be. You only need to see it.

Day 2 reminded us that humanity is not about where people live, their status, religion or background. It is about seeing a need and choosing to care.

My People First Foundation remains committed to going where help is needed most.
