*Meet Pal Robert Unde*
If Club De Pals had an architectural blueprint, there’s a good chance Pal Robert Unde would have sketched it to perfection — scale, structure, and vision intact!
An accomplished Architect, seasoned Public Servant, and reform enthusiast, Robert’s journey began at Capital School Kaduna, continued through Ahmadu Bello University Staff School Zaria, King’s College Lagos, and back to Ahmadu Bello University where he studied Architecture.
Over the years, Robert has sharpened his expertise through global exposure with institutions like the World Bank and United Nations Development Programme.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects, Robert is also internationally certified as a Public-Private Partnership Specialist. Talk about building with global standards!
During his distinguished career at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), where he rose to the rank of Director, he contributed to iconic Abuja landmarks like the Abuja National Stadium and the Supreme Court Complex. Yes — when you admire Abuja’s skyline, you’re admiring part of Pal Robert’s legacy.
But wait — he’s not all bricks and blueprints! He’s a sports enthusiast (Squash and Cricket, anyone?), a community builder, widely travelled, and proudly serves as Secretary-General of Club De Pals.
For about six years, he has been bonding, building, and believing in this family of like minds.
His Club Connection
Why did he join?
Having grown up outside Benue State, he sought meaningful bonding with his contemporaries — and found the perfect platform in Club De Pals.
What does the Club mean to him?
“A family of like minds, joined by shared goals, in humility and without pretense.”
His vision?
To see Club De Pals become one of the most influential and respected socio-cultural and socio-economic clubs — locally, nationally, and internationally.
Big vision. Bold energy.
Leadership Insight
As Secretary-General, his priority this year is unity. In his words, all things flow from unity of purpose — especially our flagship Secretariat/Club House Project and other laudable programmes.
The value he believes every member should uphold? Commitment.
His message to members?
The Executive Council means well. Embrace the initiatives, improve them, own them, and let’s fly together.
Fun fact:
He’s crazy about dreadlocks and mood music of every genre.
Favourite quote: “The best is yet to come.”
One word that describes him: Selfless.
Pal Robert Unde isn’t just helping design buildings — he’s helping shape the future of Club De Pals. And if his favourite quote is anything to go by, dear Pals… we’re just getting started.
