NYDA CORE OBJECTIVES
The Network of Youth for Development in Africa is an African regional network of youth leaders and youth-related organizations that share the vision of developing Africa and its states and/or driving developmental projects within and around the African sub-region; such that will facilitate and encourage national development, unity and integration in African states and promote
a healthy, educated and balanced society: where the disadvantaged can be empowered to actualize their dreams of better life. NYDA CORE OBJECTIVES
NYDA was registered in Nigeria with the following core objectives and mandate:
To promote, encourage and facilitate national development, unity and integration in Africa beginning with Nigeria. To promote and help instill true spirit of patriotism among Nigerians and Africans as a whole. To encourage the spirit of oneness and togetherness among Nigerians and Africans as a whole. To support ECOWAS and other organizations that have Africa at heart in promoting, encouraging and building lasting peace and national security in African states. To encouraged and promote true Ambassadorial spirit in every African and Nigerian in particular. To promote and encourage good governance, democratic and quality leadership and its dividends in Africa, with Nigeria as a beginning point. To encourage, build and develop African youths for quality and excellent services, and instill the spirit of volunteerism for life
To build and prepare youths for effective and efficient leadership beginning from the cradle. To promote, teach and celebrate standards, morals, values, professional ethics, African norms and cultures for national development
To instill and inculcate sense of commitment, integrity, transparency and creativity among the future leaders of Africa in Primary and Secondary schools through club activities. To encourage and promote youth entrepreneurship among Africans so as to lessen or possibly eradicate the teaming number of unemployed youths who result to social vices and unrest
To promote equality and discourage social stigma and differentiation among Africans and particularly Nigerian youths and leaders
To do all such other lawful things as may be considered to be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above object or any of them. NYDA FOCAL AREAS
In other to meet its mandate, NYDA has departmentalized it activities and operations into several programs, initiatives and focal areas which include:
