INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY MESSAGE FROM SOLOMON AND MARY LAR FOUNDATION.

Today, as the Solomon and Mary Lar Foundation joins the rest of world in celebrating International Peace Day 2024, we are reminded of the profound importance of cultivating a culture of peace. This year’s theme, “Cultivating a Culture of Peace,” calls on us to foster environments where harmony, understanding, and mutual respect can flourish.

In Plateau and other states across the country, we have witnessed the devastating impact of violence and conflict. The insecurity witnessed in the North and South East have not only caused immense suffering but have also disrupted the fabric of our communities.

These tragic events underscore the urgent need for peacebuilding efforts that address the root causes of conflict and promote reconciliation.

Cultivating a culture of peace requires a collective effort. It involves creating spaces for dialogue, understanding, and cooperation. It means addressing inequalities, promoting justice, and ensuring that every individual feels valued and heard.
By working together, we can build a society where peace is not just an aspiration but a lived reality.

On this International Peace Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to peace. Let us honor the memories of those affected by violence in Plateau State by dedicating ourselves to actions that foster peace and unity. Together, we can create a future where every community thrives in harmony and security.

Happy international Peace Day 2024
From Solomon and Mary Lar Foundation.
