N500 million Business Owners Won’t Like This… But It’s the Truth
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Written by Chioma Ifeanyi Eze...👇🏽

I HAVE A DIFFERENT VIEW WHEN IT COMES TO "VISION FOR YOUR BUSINESS"

Vision is the picture you carry in your mind about your business. It is where you want your business to be.

Everyday, you execute many tiny actions that will come together to deliver the big vision.

Everyday, you get closer and closer to the vision.

Now here's how my idea of vision is different from what others. teach.

Other business teachers say, "Your vision must be big. It must scare you. If it is not big, it is not good enough. It must be massive."

I dont agree.

Instead I say, "Your vision must be beautiful. If it is not beautiful, it is not good enough".

Chioma, what is a beautiful vision of a business?

Here:
- A well organized business
- Systems, structure and technology
- Good and growing revenues
- Happy profits
- Happy employees
- Happy customers
- Happy suppliers
- Happy investors
- A trusted and reputable brand
- Quality products delivered everytime
- A name that everyone wants to throw money at

This is the vision that I teach my mentees to carry.

I prefer to own a business doing 100million Naira a year in profits and ticks these boxes than the one doing 500million in profits, owing suppliers for too long, collecting money from customers and not delivering, getting mocked on social media, angry investors, long overdue bank loans, many legal battles, poor structure, poor use of technology and so much more.

For me, vision should be beautiful, not necessarily massive.

Yes, it can keep scaling, as long as it doesnt lose its beauty. Instead of my vision to lose its beauty, I maintain the level to which it has scaled to.

Feel free to disagree.
You may prefer very massive, even if not beautiful.

If You Don’t Have Working Capital, You Don’t Have a Business

I saw one business owner complaining that “sales are not coming in like before.”

But why won’t sales drop when you are making profit on paper… and your business is still broke?

See ehn…how much profit do you think will save you when you can’t even restock?

Let’s be honest. Some of you will calculate profit, smile, feel like a boss…but there is no cash to run the business the next day.

WORKING CAPITAL is the real oga here.

Na him dey run things like: - Restocking your goods, Paying small small bills, Handling daily movement.

No business owner wants to be borrowing money up and down just to survive.

The ones you think are “doing well” are not just making profit… they have steady cash flow.

They are doing the real work behind the scenes.

What do you think?

These Are the Things They SHOULD Teach You in Church… Especially If You’re a Business Owner (But They Don’t)

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about many business owners…

It’s the way they rely only on prayer…and ignore everything else that actually makes a business grow.

Don’t get me wrong. Prayer is powerful. But prayer is not a business model.

You see this thing called CHARACTER…

Most people don’t rate it. But in business? That’s your real currency.

If customers cannot trust you…If your word is not solid…

No amount of “God will do it” will save that business.

Another thing…

A lot of people think business is about posting.

Content. Reels. Adverts.

But the real question is simple: What value are you bringing? Because the market is not emotional.

It responds to usefulness.

If what you’re offering is not solving a clear problem…(you can see that from my last post for clarity)

You’ll just be busy… without results.

Now this part… Many people don’t like to hear it. See ehn, growth is INTENTIONAL. You don’t stumble into success.

You learn it. As in, marketing. sales, customer behavior. If you don’t understand these things…

You will keep hoping for results you don’t have capacity for.

Let me show you another one quietly killing businesses…

ATTITUDE.

Some business owners reply like they are angry. Some act like customers are disturbing them.

Some don’t even care.

But guess what? Customers notice everything. And they leave… silently.

Now this is where it gets real.

DISCIPLINE.

Because consistency is not sweet. Showing up every day is not exciting. But that’s what builds momentum.

Not MOTIVATION.

And lastly…

RESPONSIBILITY.

It’s easy to blame economy. Easy to blame “things are not working.”

But the moment you sit down and say: “What am I doing wrong here?” That’s when GROWTH actually starts.

And... Here’s the balance most people miss:

FAITH IS IMPORTANT. Very important. But if you remove: Structure, Skill, Understanding.

And leave only FAITH… You’ll pray hard… and still feel stuck.

So if you’re a business owner reading this... Take a step back and check yourself:

Are you building a business…or are you just hoping it works?

Because hope is not strategy. What about the market? It rewards VALUE… not your intentions.

19/04/2026

In case you’re sitting there thinking money is hard to find or business is not working… Just remember that the money you need is not missing.

It is already in people’s bank accounts. Waiting.
Your own job is not to chase money up and down.

Your job is to give people a reason to release it.

CREATE OR SELL SOMETHING THEY ACTUALLY NEED OR SOLVE A PROBLEM THEY ARE TIRED OF FACING.

Stop overthinking it.

Stand up. Create value. Offer it boldly.
Money will respond.

YOU THINK YOU'RE MAKING MONEY SELLING KIDS CLOTHES… YOU'RE NOT

Let me explain.

If you’re currently selling children’s clothing online or in a shop...

You might want to read this slowly. No rush.
Because this one… ehn… it will open your eyes.

Let’s get down to the real gist.

Have you noticed something?

Anytime you make a sale… your body just sweet you. Alert enters…

Customer confirms payment… You even screenshot am sometimes. You just feel like business is moving. You tell yourself:
“Yes! This thing is working!”

Oga, Calm down small.

Follow me. That money entering your account…
Is called REVENUE.

Money coming in. Simple. But… (And this is where many people miss it) Revenue is not your money yet.

Ahhh!

Read that again.

Revenue is not your money yet.

Let me break it down the way it is. You sell one children’s outfit for N8,000. Sweet sale abi?

But behind that N8,000… there are hidden things: You bought the cloth from supplier. You paid for delivery. You used packaging (nylon, carton, branding). You spent data or ran ads to get that customer.

Now let me ask you…

After removing all these… what is left?

Hmmmm.

That thing left is called PROFIT.

Not the full N8,000 ooh.

So if everything you spent is N6,500…

Your real money is N1,500. Not N8,000.

N1,500. Painful? Yes. But that’s the truth.
Now imagine this… You are posting every day.
Attend to your customers from morning till night.

Making sales back-to-back.

But your costs are too high. You are active… but not profitable. You are busy… but not growing.

Do you now see the problem?

Let me ask you one simple question…

Are you running a business? Or you’re just chasing alerts? Because there is a difference.

Revenue makes noise.
Profit builds your life.

So next time you say: “I sold 10 pieces today!”
Pause small. Ask yourself:

1.How much did it really cost me?
2. What did I actually keep?
3. Is this business feeding me or stressing me?

Think about it. The choice is yours.

Thank you.

THE MARKET ONLY PAYS FOR VALUE - PLEASE UNDERSTAND VALUE

Yesterday I was speaking with someone who said: “I’m working hard but I’m not making money.”

I smiled. Because this is where many people get it wrong. She is posting every day. Trying different things. Putting in effort.

But her income is still low. Not because she is lazy or the economy is bad.

But because… The market does not pay for effort.

I had to explain something simple to her: You only make money from "VALUE" delivered.

As a business owner, you don’t earn because you tried. You earn because you solved something.

If what you are offering is not solving a real PROBLEM… Or making life easier… Or helping someone save time, reduce stress, or make money…

Your income will always be small.

It’s not a curse. It’s not village people.

It’s VALUE.

Look at it this way: Two people can sell the same thing. One is cashing out daily. The other is shouting “Nigeria is hard”.

The difference is simple: One is solving a real problem people care about and the other is just selling.

Too many people are broke not because they don’t work hard… But because they don’t understand what people are willing to pay for.

Understanding value is pure wisdom.

If you want to make money, you must ask yourself:

1. What problem am I solving?

2. How important is this problem to people?

3. Will they gladly pay for this SOLUTION?

See, money only comes when value is clear. You must improve that product. You must package it better, position it well, make people feel the need for it.

Now, I want you to sit down and think. Then ask yourself, this thing I am selling… Is it truly valuable?

Or am I just hoping people will buy?

Too many people are stuck because they are emotionally attached to things nobody needs.

The market is not wicked. The market is honest. It pays you based on the VALUE you bring.

So if money is not coming in…

Don’t argue.
Don’t complain.
Upgrade your value.

Because at the end of the day… Money is simply a reward for solving real problems.

When you understand Value, you will understand Money.

Period!

STOP IGNORING SIMPLE BUSINESSES THAT CAN MAKE YOU MILLIONS IN NIGERIA

Every day, I see people complaining:
“No money in Nigeria”
“Business is hard”
“Nothing is working”

But the same people will walk into a supermarket, collect nylon, and go home…

Without realizing that someone is quietly making millions supplying that same nylon.

Let me tell you something.

Most of you are not broke because Nigeria is hard. You are broke because you ignore simple opportunities.

Read this carefully.

A full bag of supermarket nylon
(4,000 pieces) costs about N95,000

You supply that same bag to: Supermarkets, Provision stores, Retailers for N115,000

Your profit?

N15,000 to N20,000 on ONE bag of shopping nylon bags.

Now wait… don’t rush.

This is where most people miss it. You’re thinking: “N15k is small”

That mindset is why you’re still struggling.
Let’s do the math together.

Sell just 2 bags in a day.

That’s N30,000 to N40,000 profit. Do that for 5 days a week. You’re already making N150,000 to N200,000 weekly.

In one month?

N600,000 to N800,000.

In one year? You’re close to N10 million.

From nylon oh! Yes… ordinary nylon.

You don't need factory. No need for big shop.
No noise.

So why are people not doing this?

Because Nigerians like complicated things.

They want:
Big brand.
Big office.
Big announcement.

But they ignore: Daily demand, steady supply, simple profit.

Listen to me.

Supermarkets will NEVER stop needing nylon. Provision stores will NEVER stop needing nylon. Small vendors will ALWAYS need nylon.

This is not a “one day” business. This is DAILY money.

But here is the part nobody tells you. If you cannot sell… Even pure water will be hard.

See, this business is simple, but it requires sense.

You need to walk into stores, talk to owners, offer them steady supply, build relationships.

Not sit at home and complain.

Stop waiting for one big idea that will change your life overnight.

Start moving products people already buy every day. That’s how real money is made in this country.

Ignore this, and keep chasing “online trends”
Or pay attention, move smart…

And build a quiet N10 million a year business from nylon.

I don talk my own.

10/04/2026

YOU Don’t NEED MORE CUSTOMERS… YOU NEED TO SELL BETTER TO THE ONES YOU HAVE

Last year February, I came across a comment.
A woman wrote it under one of Chioma Ifeanyi Eze’s posts.

She was frustrated. “I’ve tried everything… good products, ads on Facebook and Instagram, consistent posting… but sales are still slow.”

If that sounds like your situation, read this carefully.

Because the reply someone gave her that day… can fix a lot of businesses.

The person didn’t hype her. They simply showed her what she was missing.

Let me explain and break it down...

1. It’s not that people don’t want your product… they just don’t know you enough.

There’s a man in Lagos selling nylon sealing machines. Strong machine. Works perfectly.
But his shop is quiet most days.

Not because the product he is selling is bad…
But because only people passing his street know him.

Now compare him to another seller. This one is always posting videos online:

Showing how the machine seals nylon neatly.
Demonstrating how it helps food vendors package better.

Sharing small business tips.

When someone thinks “I need sealing machine”… guess who comes to mind?
Exactly.

2. Your product might be good… but your explanation is weak.

Let’s take someone printing bread nylon wrappers.

Two printers.

Same city. Same equipment.
One just posts: “Bread nylon available. DM to order.”

The other one shows: Clean, attractive designs.
How branding makes bread look more premium.

How it helps bread sellers charge higher.

Now tell me…

Which one will a serious bread seller choose?

See ehn, people don’t just buy nylon. They buy what that nylon will do for their business.

3. Sometimes your biggest problem is not sales… it’s how you package your offer.

There’s a woman supplying baking items in Ibadan. Flour, butter, flavors, everything. But she was selling everything separately.

She noticed that her customers will buy small small… and go.

Then she CHANGED her strategy.

She started creating: “Starter baking bundle”
“Cake business combo pack”

Now instead of selling N5k items…
She’s selling N25k to N50k packages.
As in, to the same customers . And more money will enter her account.

4. Attention is everything in business today.

There’s someone I saw on Instagram selling bags. The quality is good. Strong material.

But no visibility.

No videos. No real-life usage. No examples of businesses using it.

Meanwhile, another seller is posting: Supermarket owners using the bags. Some the bags samples.

Even if both sell the same thing… One looks like a serious brand. The other looks like an option.

And in business…

People choose confidence.

Now let me tell you the truth you might not like:
Low sales is not always about your village people.

No na! What you need to do is to...

1. Make people to always see your business .

2. Make them understand your VALUE.

3. Guide them on what to buy and how to buy.
That woman?

4. Just change HOW you show up in your business.

See, doing it will change EVERYTHING.

So before you say “market is bad” today…
Ask yourself:

= Am I visible enough in my market?
= Do people understand why my product matters?
= Am I helping them make buying easier?

Answer these honestly…

Because your next level in sales is hiding inside them.

A shocking incident happened today in Kugbo.
This is a place many people pass every single day without a second thought.

I feel deeply unsettled seeing what has just happened.

A structure that was meant to serve the people has collapsed under the wind… blocking the road and trapping vehicles beneath it.

Now, what should have been a smooth route is gradually turning into a heavy traffic nightmare towards Nyanya and Maraba.

Dear authorities, how do we keep getting it wrong with things like this? Can we not build to last?

May everyone affected find help quickly, and may we not see more of this.

FUNNY HOW THE STAFF YOU’RE CRYING ABOUT LOSING IS THE SAME PROBLEM KILLING YOUR BUSINESS

I was talking to someone recently…

And the way he was complaining ehn…

“One of my staff just left… after everything I did for him.”

You could hear the pain, the anger, the confusion.

And I just dey look am like this.

You guys, wait…

So you really thought people will stay with you forever???

Like… are you serious right now???

Let’s even calm down small…

Didn’t YOU leave somewhere to start your own thing???

Or you landed in your business from heaven? This is where many of you are getting it wrong.

You are building business like say na relationship.

Attached. Emotional. Personal.

Instead of building SYSTEM. STRUCTURE. PROCESS.

Make I shock you…

If one staff leaves your business and everything scatters… That staff was not your employee.

That staff was your business.

Yes, I said it.

You’ll start hearing things like:

“Na that boy dey run everything…”

“Since she left, nothing is working again…”

“Customers are complaining…”

My brothers and sisters…

What exactly were YOU running???

Let me tell you something I noticed about serious brands in Nigeria…

People enter. People grow. People leave.

But the business?

Still standing like rock. Still making money. Still expanding.

Why???

Because they understand something you are ignoring…

People are part of the process… not the foundation.

You people don’t understand LEVELS.

There is something called CAPACITY.

There are businesses where if 5 staff leave today…

Nothing will shake. Because everything is documented. Everything is structured. Anybody can step in and continue.

But you?

You’re there building business around one “loyal” staff.

Chai…

You are setting yourself up for heartbreak. And the funniest part… Instead of you to fix your system…

You are there angry that someone left to grow.

Jokers!

Some of you are busy complaining about people leaving…

Instead of building something that cannot be shaken by their exit.

This is why some businesses remain small for years.

No structure. No system. Just vibes and dependency.

Listen…

Train them.

Empower them.

Let them grow.

Some will stay. Some will leave.

It is normal.

Just build your “BUSINESS” strong. That's ALL.

What do I know…

Let me go with my business and face people that actually want to build REAL BUSINESSES.
