From the gunboats of the Oil Rivers era to the many military incursions that followed, the Niger Delta’s history has often been shaped by the presence of force over dialogue. What began as colonial gunboat diplomacy became a recurring pattern of power, control, and resistance. Understanding this history is essential to building a future rooted in justice, development, and respect for the people of the Delta.

We’ve missed you. And if you’ve been wondering where we’ve been, thank you for staying with us.

Over the past few months, we experienced some unexpected issues with our pages that kept us away from sharing the stories, ideas, and conversations that matter most to us. For that, we’re truly sorry.

But every setback is an opportunity for a stronger comeback.

Today, we’re turning the page. We’re back with renewed energy, a clearer vision, and an even deeper commitment to building, inspiring, and creating lasting impact with this community.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for believing in us. The journey ahead is bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever.

We’re back. And we’re just getting started.

Just like the Akassa Community,
You too can begin the change and safeguard your own environment.

Gods of the Delta.

We talk about boosting the Niger Delta economy, but we ignore one of our biggest potentials — wildlife tourism.

Bayelsa holds a treasure the world would pay to see: the endangered Niger Delta Red Colobus Monkey.

Our government looked away… but it’s not too late to step up.
We can protect this species. We can rewrite our story.

Dear ,

‘DEVE’ needs to stop! Beyond stopping it, we must also demand clarity on whether there is a concrete plan to completely eradicate this menace so it doesn’t resurface in the future.

And just as importantly, what measures are in place to engage the individuals involved in these acts, to ensure they are redirected towards purposeful, lawful means of livelihood?
