Alhamdulillah, you have reached Day 20 of Ramadan. Today marks the beginning of the last ten nights, the most sacred and powerful days of this blessed month.

The final ten nights are a second chance within Ramadan.

You may have struggled in the first days.

Ramadan – Day 19

The Nights of Power Are Near

Nineteen days of Ramadan have passed.
Now we are approaching the most powerful nights of this blessed month, the nights in which Laylat al-Qadr may occur.

Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Laylat al-Qadr is better than a thousand months.” (Qur’an 97:3)

This means one sincere night of repentance can change the direction of your entire life.

To every young man and woman trapped in substance abuse or illicit drug activities, listen carefully:

These coming nights are an opportunity for total transformation.

Ask Allah to break the chains of addiction.
Ask Allah to purify your heart and body.
Ask Allah to replace harmful paths with honorable livelihoods.

No addiction is stronger than Allah’s mercy.
No past is bigger than Allah’s forgiveness.

Day 19 reminder:
Your greatest turning point could happen in one sincere night with Allah.

Say tonight:
“Ya Allah, free me from addiction and guide me to a life of dignity.”

Ramadan – Day 16
Allah Loves Those Who Return

Sixteen days into Ramadan, and the journey of purification continues.

Some people may still be struggling with substance use. Some may have tried to stop and slipped again. But listen to the beautiful promise from Allah:

“Indeed, Allah loves those who constantly repent and those who purify themselves.” (Qur’an 2:222)

This means something powerful, Allah does not only forgive those who return to Him, He loves them.

To every young man and woman trapped in substance abuse or illicit drug activities:

Do not let shame stop you from returning.
Do not let relapse convince you that change is impossible.
Every sincere repentance wipes away the past.

Ramadan is a school of discipline, mercy, and transformation.

Day 16 reminder:
You are not defined by your addiction. You are defined by your willingness to return to Allah.

Say today:
“Ya Allah, purify my heart, my body, and my future.”

Ramadan – Day 15 Halfway to Transformation

Alhamdulillah, 15 days of fasting, 15 days of discipline, 15 days of mercy.

You are halfway through Ramadan. The question is:
Are you halfway to freedom too?

To every young man and woman struggling with substance abuse or trapped in illicit drug activities, this is your wake-up call.

Allah says: “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.” (Qur’an 13:11)

Change begins inside.
A decision.
A sincere tawbah.
A firm intention to walk away from destruction.

If you have reduced your intake, continue.
If you have stopped for some days, stay strong.
If you have relapsed, stand up again. Do not quit.

Ramadan is not about perfection.
It is about transformation.

Day 15 reminder:
You are not destined for addiction.
You are destined for purpose.

Ramadan – Day 13

Your Past Is Not Your Prison

Thirteen days into Ramadan and Allah is still writing your story.

Maybe your past is heavy.
Maybe mistakes, addiction, or drug involvement make you feel stuck.

But remember what Allah says: “Except for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds for them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good.” (Qur’an 25:70)

Not just forgiven.
Replaced.

This means your past does not have to define your future.
Your history with drugs does not cancel your destiny.
Your mistakes do not erase your worth.

Day 13 is your turning point:
Repent sincerely.
Seek support.
Take practical steps toward withdrawal and recovery.

Allah specializes in transforming broken stories into powerful testimonies.

Say today:
“Ya Allah, replace my past with a better future.”

The Drug-Free Arewa Movement (DFAM) is here to support you confidentially and compassionately.

This Ramadan, don’t stay chained to yesterday.

Ramadan – Day 12 Replace Darkness with Light

Twelve days into Ramadan and Allah is still giving you a chance to choose differently.

Allah says:
“Allah is the Protector of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light.” (Qur’an 2:257)

Addiction is darkness.
Illicit drug trafficking is darkness.
Shame, fear, and dependency are darkness.

But faith is light.
Repentance is light.
Recovery is light.

No matter how long you have been in darkness, one sincere step toward Allah can change your direction.

Day 12 is your reminder:
You were not created to live in secrecy and destruction.
You were created to walk in light, dignity, and purpose.

Tell yourself today:
“Ya Allah, bring me out of darkness into light.”

Ramadan – Day 11 Strength Through Sabr

Eleven days into Ramadan and you are still here. Still fasting. Still striving. Still fighting.

Allah says:
“Indeed, Allah is with those who are patient (As-Sabirun).” (Qur’an 2:153)

Recovery requires Sabr.
Withdrawal requires Sabr.
Changing your life requires Sabr.

To every young person battling substance abuse or trapped in illicit drug activities, your patience in this struggle is not wasted. Every moment you resist cravings, every prayer you whisper, every tear you shed in repentance, Allah counts it.

Remember:
Cravings are temporary.
Hardship is temporary.
But the reward for patience is eternal.

Day 11 is your reminder:
You are not weak for struggling.
You are strong for not giving up.

Say today:
“Ya Allah, grant me patience stronger than my addiction.”

The Drug-Free Arewa Movement (DFAM) stands ready to support you confidentially and compassionately.

Ramadan – Day 10

Ten days have passed. Ten days of fasting. Ten days of striving. Ten days of mercy.

The first ten days of Ramadan are known as the days of Rahmah (Mercy). If you are still breathing, still fasting, still trying Allah’s mercy is still surrounding you.

To every young man and woman battling substance abuse or trapped in illicit drug activities:

Allah says: “Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good.” (Qur’an 7:56)

Choosing to reduce, to stop, to seek help, that is goodness.

Fighting cravings, that is goodness.

Turning back to Allah, that is greatness.

You may have fallen before.
You may feel weak.
But mercy is not for the perfect it is for the returning.

Let Day 10 mark a serious intention:
“Ya Allah, I seek Your mercy to free me from addiction and destructive paths.”

You are not beyond help.
You are not beyond healing.
You are not beyond Allah’s mercy.
