Princess Victoria Musa Ujah Offoboche, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Hadiza Musa Ujah Offoboche Foundation, joined a distinguished gathering of dignitaries, stakeholders, investors, and well-meaning Cross Riverians residing in Abuja at the Special Town Hall Meeting convened by the Government of Cross River State, Nigeria.

The high-profile event, held today, Friday 29th May 2026, at Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel (Former Sheraton Hotel), was organized to mark and celebrate Governor Bassey Otu’s 3 Years in Office.

Under the theme “Inside Gov. *Withdrawal from Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency Race & Endorsement of Consensus Candidate*

The Media Team of *Hon. Princess Victoria Musa Ujah Offoboche*, leading aspirant for the Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat, hereby announces that our principal has taken the statesmanlike decision to step down and withdraw her aspiration from the race with immediate effect.

This decision comes after extensive consultations with party leaders, elders, stakeholders, and the teeming supporters of the Hadiza Musa Ujah Offoboche Foundation across Yala and Ogoja. It is a sacrifice made in the overriding interest of party unity, cohesion, and the collective progress of the All Progressives Congress in our constituency.

In line with the directive of the party leadership and in recognition of the need for a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections, *Hon. Princess Victoria Musa Ujah Offoboche and her entire support structure hereby pledge total and unreserved support to the party’s consensus candidate, Hon. Dr. Mrs. Stella Oreme Odey-Ekpo*.

We call on all supporters, coordinators, and well wishers of our principal to embrace this decision in good faith, maintain discipline, and work collectively to ensure the success of the APC in Yala/Ogoja.

This is a time for courage, participation, and belief in democracy. No individual, group, or political influence should intimidate or discourage qualified people from coming out to obtain election forms and contest for positions they believe they can serve in honorably.

Politics belongs to the people, not to a select few who claim to be close to those in power. Democracy gives every citizen the constitutional right to aspire, speak, organize, and participate freely without fear or intimidation.

To everyone who desires to contest elections or support credible candidates, do not be afraid. Stand firm, remain peaceful, and pursue your political ambitions lawfully and confidently. History has shown that positive change comes when courageous people refuse to be silenced by pressure, threats, or selfish interests.

Cross River North deserves leaders chosen by the free will of the people, not by fear, manipulation, or political monopoly. Let unity, fairness, and justice prevail over intimidation and division.
