ANAMBRA CORPERS FORUM FCT ABUJA MARKS ONE YEAR WITH LANDMARK ANNIVERSARY MEETING.
Abuja, June 20, 2026— The Anambra Corpers Forum FCT Abuja on Saturday celebrated its one-year anniversary, coinciding with the group's monthly meeting held in the nation's capital. The milestone event brought together both serving and ex-corps members from Anambra State currently deployed across the Federal Capital Territory, recording a massive turnout despite heavy rainfall and cloudy skies, a testament to the strength of community the forum has built over its first year of existence.
The forum was founded by Chris Onwa Mmaju. Speaking at the anniversary event, the founder recounted the vision that gave birth to the forum, a desire to create a platform where Anambra indigenes scattered across the FCT could come together to meet, network, share opportunities, and forge meaningful connections.
At the event, the forum's leadership appreciated members of the executive committee whose dedication helped transform the founding vision into reality, while also recognising members who have shown extraordinary commitment to the forum's growth and activities over the past twelve months.
A special highlight of the occasion was the attendance of Hon. Ned Anakwue, who defied the heavy rainfall to honour the forum with his presence. He offered the gathering words of encouragement and wise counsel. The celebration also included a birthday tribute for one of the forum's members, who was prayed for and celebrated by the community.
The forum equally expressed appreciation to its host, Barr. Val Ayika (Ezigbo Mmadu) for consistently providing the venue for the group's monthly meetings and activities.
The Anambra Corpers Forum FCT Abuja, now in its second year, continues to serve as a vital network and support system for Anambra State nationals completing their mandatory national youth service in the Federal Capital Territory.
