The world is intentional about influencing our young people. The Church must be even more intentional about discipling them.

We cannot raise young people who know church but do not know God for themselves.

At Family Worship Centre, our Youth Church is committed to building young people who love Jesus, know the Word, are led by the Spirit and are bold enough to stand for God in their generation.

That is the heart behind YOUTH FEST 2026 - GENERATION ABLAZE🔥

We are praying for more than a great gathering. We are trusting God for encounters that will ignite conviction, deepen conviction, awaken purpose and stir a genuine hunger for Him.

They will not be cold, confused or carried away by the spirit of this age. They will burn for God and carry His light wherever they go.

We are ready for Generation Ablaze🔥

We may live in changing times, but God’s pattern has not changed. Two padlocks cannot marry, and two keys cannot marry.

Simple. Clear. Biblical.

Don’t be so captivated by what your eyes can see that you overlook who your future self will have to live with.

Beauty is good. Attraction matters. But looks change, bodies change, and seasons change. Character is what will meet you at home.

Look for honesty. Look for integrity. Look for kindness. Look for someone who fears God, keeps their word, takes responsibility, and knows how to love beyond convenience.

Because marriage is not sustained by a face, a waist, or an outward appearance. You need something deeper.

I know life can be demanding, and sometimes we become so busy taking care of everything and everyone that we forget to check in with ourselves.

But today, pause for a moment.
Breathe.

Remind yourself that God is with you, and you are not carrying life alone.

Whatever this season looks like, please do not lose heart. Take it one day at a time, do what you can, and trust God with what you cannot control. You may not have all the answers yet, but you have a Father who sees you, knows you and will not abandon you.

Keep going. God is still at work, and I am praying for you

What is the balance in your relationship account?

Every day, you are either making a deposit or making a withdrawal.

When you are kind, speak words that build, show appreciation, give, forgive and treat people with honour, you are making deposits.

But when you insult, speak harshly, dishonour, hurt or abuse someone, you are making withdrawals.

And when there is physical, verbal or emotional abuse, you are no longer talking about ordinary withdrawals. You are in overdraft.

The interesting thing is that we are often very quick to notice what people are withdrawing from our account, but we don’t stop to ask what we have been depositing into theirs.

So, check your account.

What have you been depositing into your marriage, your friendships and your relationships?

Because you cannot keep making withdrawals and expect the relationship to remain healthy.

Is it a red flag when a younger man marries a woman older than him?

To me, it is a red flag.

These are the kind of important conversations we need to have before we say, “I do.”

What do you think? Tell me in the comments.

We use the word sweetheart often as a term of endearment and sometimes casually but have you ever stopped to think about what it really means to be one?

A sweetheart is not simply someone who says sweet things. It is someone whose heart has been shaped by love, someone who chooses kindness, forgiveness, patience, humility and consideration, even when it is not convenient.

To be a sweetheart is to be intentional about the kind of person you are becoming and the kind of atmosphere you create around you.

It means asking yourself: Am I easy to live with? Am I quick to forgive? Do my words heal or wound? Do I make the people around me feel loved, valued and safe?

If you are going to be a sweetheart in your marriage, you must understand the heart of God and allow His love to shape your own heart.
