Yesterday, the 5amas Empowerment Program brought community members together for an impactful WASH program focused on promoting proper Water, Sanitation and Hygiene practices.

It was a day of learning, engagement, shared experiences, and practical conversations that can help create healthier homes and stronger communities.

5AMAS Empowerment Foundation joined Feet of Grace Foundation today, 8 August 2026, for their Annual Charity Walk. 💙

As a WASH-focused organization, we believe women and girls with limb disabilities matter — and so does their menstrual health.

For many women and girls with disabilities, menstruation can become a monthly struggle with inaccessible toilets, lack of assistance, unaffordable menstrual products, and inadequate menstrual health education.

We are calling for accessible WASH facilities, free menstrual hygiene kits, inclusive menstrual health education, and policies that intentionally address the needs of women and girls with disabilities.

Because dignity is not a luxury. It is a right.

No girl should miss school. No woman should lose her dignity because of her period or disability.

We are honored to stand with Feet of Grace Foundation as we work together to move Nigeria forward — one inclusive step at a time. 🇳🇬

Empowering women. Promoting hygiene. Sustaining healthier communities.

Our recent WASHCOM Hygiene Education and Skills Training in Chippo Community recorded an overwhelming turnout of women eager to learn practical income-generating skills, including liquid soap production, Vaseline making, and other hygiene products.

This initiative is part of our commitment to helping Chippo Community sustain its Open Defecation Free (ODF) status by improving hygiene practices while creating economic opportunities for women.

The journey, however, is not yet complete. The community still urgently needs access to potable water. The borehole has already been drilled, but we require approximately ₦2.5 million to complete the installation and make clean, safe water available to every household.

Today in Gwagwalada, Abuja, lives were impacted through knowledge, empowerment, and opportunity.

In collaboration with Tamara Global , 300 women gathered for a practical skill acquisition program where they learned how to make cream and liquid soap, valuable skills that can create income opportunities and promote self-reliance.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, positivity, learning, and engagement. The women asked insightful questions, eagerly participated, and embraced every moment of the training.

They came with curiosity.They left with knowledge. The women expressed their heartfelt gratitude and offered prayers for her continued success and blessings.

This is what true empowerment looks like, equipping people with skills, confidence, and the tools to build a better future.
