*A DELICATE RESPONSIBILITY (II)*
THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2026
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*GALATIANS 4:7*
"Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."

*KEYWORD:* When a child is left to make decisions without proper guidance and instruction, he can easily be led into error and eventually experience the consequences of wrong choices.

At no point has God ignored how His children and the generations after them are to be raised. Do you see how throughout Scripture God continually encourages men to look into His law and teach it to their children after them? Deuteronomy 11:19 says, "And ye shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

God was conscious that if a godly generation was to be raised, His word and truth had to become the foundation of their upbringing. This is why God instructed His people not only to know His ways but to intentionally pass them on to the next generation.

Every generation, beginning from every home, has been entrusted with this delicate responsibility of raising children in the ways of the Lord. Children must be taught that their identity is not found in worldly systems or ungodly influences but in God who created them. They must understand that through Christ they have been called into a relationship with God, where they can walk in His purpose and plans for their lives.

When a child is left to make decisions without proper guidance and instruction, he can easily be led into error and eventually experience the consequences of wrong choices. However, when parents and families take responsibility to teach, guide, and model God's ways before them, they are sowing seeds that can produce lasting fruit in generations yet unborn.

Those in positions of influence can also contribute greatly by creating environments where truth, righteousness, and godly values are respected. When leaders understand the importance of shaping society with wisdom and integrity, it creates a foundation where children can grow and become men and women who fulfil God's purpose for their lives.

If families, communities, and those with influence embrace this responsibility, we will see generations rise who know God, walk in His ways, and possess all that He has prepared for them. Shalom!

*PRAYER:*
Dear Father, I take charge today by choosing to stand in the right place and become a vessel for raising a godly generation for You. Help me to teach, guide, and influence those around me according to Your word. I commit those in positions of influence into Your hands; give them wisdom to uphold truth and righteousness in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*A DELICATE RESPONSIBILITY (I)*
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2026

*PROVERBS 29:21*
"He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length."

*KEYWORD:* The man who refuses to allow someone remain in ignorance and chooses instead to guide, teach, and develop that person is planting a seed that can produce great results in the future.

The act of raising up a child and instilling in him values that will make him a worthy addition to society has always been a delicate responsibility that must not be taken for granted. Some parents think it is only food, shelter, and clothing that a child requires. Some leave the responsibility of training entirely to schools and yet fail to deliberately cultivate that child to think rightly and soundly. They do not introduce God's principles that ensure a child's heart is grounded on truth and protected from believing the lies that are so prevalent in the world today.

When you read the opening scripture and realize that it was not even referring to a man's biological son, you understand that God is not limiting the godly influence you can have in the lives of the children and people around you. It says that a man who raises up his servant from childhood shall eventually have him become like a son. The man who refuses to allow someone remain in ignorance and chooses instead to guide, teach, and develop that person is planting a seed that can produce great results in the future.

This reminds us of Eliezer, Abraham's servant who managed all that Abraham had. Although Scripture does not specifically tell us how he was raised, we see evidence of the values and trust that Abraham placed in him through the responsibility he was given. When Abraham sent him to find a wife for Isaac, Eliezer approached the assignment with prayer, wisdom, and dependence on God. The character he displayed showed that he had been shaped into a responsible and trustworthy servant.

If Abraham had ignored the importance of developing those around him, could someone like Eliezer have been prepared for such a delicate assignment? Today, many of you have been given opportunities to influence younger ones, children, servants, or people around you. Do not hold back and ignore that responsibility. Step up and become a worthy example that reflects God's ways. Shalom!

*PRAYER:*
Heavenly Father, I refuse to take for granted the responsibility and influence You have entrusted to me today. Help me to walk consciously of the privilege You have given me to raise and guide people in the light of Your word. Help me to be a worthy example in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*THE HEART BEHIND GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS (III)*
TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026

*ISAIAH 43:25*
"I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."

*KEYWORD:* When God calls you to value your life the way He values it, it is a sure sign that He loves you and does not want you to be destroyed.

We see in our opening scripture above God going a step further to remind His children through the Prophet Isaiah that He is the One who blots out their transgressions for His own sake and will not remember their sins. This was a powerful revelation of God's mercy towards His people. Even though they had turned away from Him, God was showing them that His desire was not simply to judge them but to restore them back to Himself.

You are however not to miss God's intention in revealing His mercy to His children. God's forgiveness was never meant to make them careless with His instructions but to draw their hearts back to Him. God, being omnipotent, knows all things and understands the dangers that come when His people walk outside His ways. His instructions are given because He desires to preserve us from the evil plans of Satan and his cohorts.

When God calls you to value your life the way He values it, it is a sure sign that He loves you and does not want you to be destroyed. God does not speak because He desires to hear the sound of His own voice. He speaks because He wants us to experience the benefit of His promises and walk in the path that leads to life. This proves that even when we are unfaithful, He remains faithful because He does not change His principles or the promises He has made.

Today, if your regard towards God has become cold, nonchalant, or negligent, it is time to examine your heart. Sin and neglect can gradually make a person's heart become less sensitive to the things of God. This is why we must constantly return to Him, receive His word, and allow His presence to renew us.

You must no longer treat God as though He does not know what He is saying. Every instruction, sacrifice, and pattern He has given is for your benefit. Do not see His ways as burdensome and ignore them because it will only open the door for the enemy's plan. Today, reason with the Lord once more in fellowship and receive strength from Him to walk rightly. Learn of Him and allow His wisdom to guide you into making the best decisions for your life. Shalom!

*PRAYER:*
Heavenly Father, I open up my heart to Your words and instructions today. Thank You for Your mercy that calls me back whenever I go astray. Open the eyes of my understanding to perceive all matters clearly and help me walk guided by Your Holy Spirit alone in Jesus’ name. Amen.
