🌱 **Ecosteward Foundation at the COANSA Peer Learning Meeting & General Assembly**

Ecosteward and Humanitarian Foundation (EHF) participated in the COANSA Peer Learning Meeting and General Assembly, held on 27–28 August 2026 in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

Represented by our Programs Director, Nweze Emmanuel, the Foundation joined fellow civil society organisations, farmers' groups, researchers, development partners and other agrifood systems actors to exchange experiences and explore pathways for stronger collaboration and collective action.

The discussions focused on Agrifood systems policy advocacy, climate-resilient food systems, stakeholder engagement, governance, knowledge sharing and strengthening the collective voice of non-state actors.

At Ecosteward, we believe that transforming food systems requires collaboration, inclusive participation and people-centred solutions. We remain committed to working with partners and networks to advance sustainable, resilient and equitable agrifood systems in Nigeria.

🤝 Stronger partnerships. Collective action. Sustainable food systems.

🌍 Strengthening Data for Climate Action in Nigeria

Yesterday, Ecosteward Foundation participated in a high-level stakeholder meeting on “Strengthening Data for Climate Action in Nigeria,” organised by the Media Awareness and Justice Initiative (MAJI) with support from the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) and in collaboration with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung

The meeting brought together key stakeholders from government institutions, civil society, and the media to discuss the critical role of real-time data in environmental monitoring, climate governance, and effective regulation, with a particular focus on air quality.

A major highlight was the demonstration of the DATACAB online air quality portal, showcasing how technology and accessible data can strengthen environmental accountability, support evidence-based decision-making, and empower citizens to better understand the environmental challenges affecting their communities.

As climate and environmental challenges continue to intensify, strengthening our data systems and ensuring that reliable information informs policy and action is essential for building a healthier, safer, and more resilient Nigeria.
