Wole Adamolekun Foundation [WAF] is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization registered under the Federal Republic of Nigeria Company and Allied Act of 1990. The core charter borders on the promotion of professionalism and excellence in corporate communication and public relations with emphasis on tourism Communications as well Corporate Social Responsibility [CSR]. WAF charter also mandate
s it to beget the culture of acknowledgement for practicing communicators who have soared high as well as the promotion/support of the publishing of materials in public relations and industry wide communications. We see corporate social responsibility [CSR] as a veritable tool that can drive youth and women empowerment as well as the development of tourism at the grassroots’ level. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a key factor in the quest for success in business and even governance the world over. The debate that began in the days of economist laureate Freidman is no longer on whether practicing CSR is desirable but how well and transparently it is being carried out. Even then, CSR remains an evolving idea in Nigeria as it is in most developing economies. Wole Adamolekun Foundation seeks to put CSR in perspective, as an all embracing and desirable practice for businesses, be it multinational, transnational, national, regional, or the local micro businesses that abound at the grassroots level. This thinking process has been on since 2008 when this foundation was founded. Innovations have been introduced as well by our planning, research and statistics department and this has led to the adoption of the following actions with a view to meeting our set objectives. Offering competitive career assessment and academic sponsorship both at metropolis level and grass root. Awards that beam its searchlight on p***c relations practice and communication based research. Capacity building/youth development and social mobilization projects that seek to touch women and youths at grass root. Identification of uncommon tourist potential sights backed up with sound feasibility study that is practical to assist companies operating in such domains in their corporate social responsibility [CSR] drives. We welcome you to our foundation urging you to seek ways within our charter to associate with us. We thank you for your time. Wole Adamolekun, Ph.
