is a highly qualified legal practitioner with a passion for policy and governance. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of Benin, Edo State Nigeria, and subsequently obtained her LL. B degree in Law from Enugu State University, Enugu, Nigeria in 2018. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2019 after completing her studies at the Nigerian Law School.
Her passion for good governance, public policy, young and women development, and international law led her to participate actively in community service. Juliet has served in various capacities in her community, including as Financial Secretary for the Nigerian Bar Association Abuja Branch between 2020 - 2022, as a member of the NBA Abuja Branch Law Week Planning Committee 2021-2022, and as a member of the FIDA Abuja Law Week Planning Committee 2022-2024.
In February 2022, Juliet answered the call to serve and contested for the office of Councillor representing Kubwa Town, at the Bwari Area Council. She recently contested for a seat in the Federal House of Representative to represent the Bwari/Amac Constituency in the just concluded 2023 General election.
Juliet's philosophy in politics and good governance centers on adequately addressing the common needs of society and propagating the right values to sustain such developmental goals. Her efforts and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as she has been recognized by a number of organizations such as Voice of America, Channel Afrika, and a host of local and international news organizations as a leading figure and ambassador for women with dexterity and intellectual prowess to navigate the political space in Nigeria.
She is a recipient of the Africa-Policy Conversation Awards, Order Paper Legislative Debate Awards, SRTV Legendary 2022 Girl Child Youth Achievers Award, Nigerian Women Trust Funds Recognition amongst others.
Juliet is currently pursuing a Master's degree in International Maritime Law and is the Principal Partner at Makhoms-J Attorneys. She is also the Chairman of Juliet Isi Ikhayere Foundation where she focuses on career development in law, politics, good governance, child, youth, and women development.
