The Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) is proud to announce its selection as one of five African organizations awarded a small grant under the AFROCAB Treatment Access Partnershipโs THRIVE Project, funded by Unitaid.
This milestone reinforces NEPWHANโs leadership in advancing community-led responses to Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) across Nigeria.
Through this grant, NEPWHAN will:
โ
Expand AHD-focused interventions and strengthen community engagement.
โ
Enhance treatment literacy, referral systems, and community-led monitoring.
โ
Advocate for equitable access to AHD commodities and improved accountability in HIV service delivery.
Implemented by AfroCAB-HIV, in partnership with the Clinton Health Access Initiative(CHAI) and Penta ID (PENTA), the THRIVE Project aims to reduce AIDS-related mortality among adults and children through comprehensive, community-driven strategies.
NEPWHAN proudly joins other national PLHIV networks from Uganda (NAFOPHANU), South Africa (NAPWA), Kenya (NEPHAK), and Zimbabwe (ZNNP+) in this strategic partnership.
Together, we remain committed to ensuring that no one is left behind in the HIV response โ and that community voices continue to shape health policy and service delivery in Nigeria and beyond.
