📢 Highlights from the GBV Awareness Community Sensitisation Campaign – Muna Moforo & Muna Dalti Communities

The Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Idle People (AISVIP) successfully conducted a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awareness Community Sensitisation Campaign in Muna Moforo and Muna Dalti communities, Maiduguri, Borno State.

The campaign engaged women, men, youth, community leaders, and other stakeholders in meaningful discussions on preventing Gender-Based Violence, promoting respect for human rights, supporting survivors, and strengthening community responsibility for protection. Participants were also informed about available GBV response services and referral pathways.

Together, we continue to build safer, more inclusive communities where women, girls, men, boys, and persons with disabilities can live free from violence, discrimination, and abuse.

This activity is implemented by Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Idle People (AISVIP) with funding from the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF).

Empowering Lives Through Skills Development

Under the IDEAS Project, Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Idle People (AISVIP), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria, is training beneficiaries in Welding and Fabrication under the Engineering Craft programme in Jere, Maiduguri, Borno State.

The trainees were selected from vulnerable communities based on their interest and commitment to learning the trade. The training equips them with practical skills to improve their livelihoods, promote self-reliance, and create sustainable economic opportunities.

Highlights from Our GBV Awareness Campaign

We successfully conducted a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awareness Campaign across Muna Day School, Muna Moforo, Muna Dalti, Muna Market, and through a community road walk and sensitization campaign.

The campaign raised awareness on GBV prevention, promoted respect and gender equality, and encouraged community members to take collective action in creating safer and violence-free communities.

This activity was implemented by Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Idle People (AISVIP) with funding support from the Nigerian Humanitarian Fund (NHF).

Together, we can end GBV and build safer communities for all.
