📢 *FROM DETECTION TO REPORTING: STRENGTHENING MEDICAL DEVICE SAFETY*
*Join the Conversation!*
NAFDAC is taking proactive steps to engage and educate *Biomedical Engineering (BME) practitioners on the procedures for reporting medical device adverse events and incidents*
As frontline professionals involved in the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and management of medical devices, BME practitioners have an important role to play in identifying device-related problems and ensuring that relevant incidents are appropriately reported.
This engagement will provide an opportunity to:
🔹 Understand the procedures for reporting medical device adverse events
🔹 Recognize incidents that may require regulatory reporting
🔹 Learn the appropriate channels and requirements for reporting
🔹 Strengthen collaboration between BME professionals and regulatory authorities
🔹 Promote a stronger culture of medical device safety and post-market surveillance in Nigeria
🩺⚙️ *Medical device safety is a shared responsibility.*
