The Learn to Impact Initiative by the Sustainable Food Systems Youth Foundation and co-created alongside LCOY Nigeria, Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Youth Network Nigeria, Nigerian Youth Biodiversity Network, and YPARD Nigeria was selected as one of the TOP 25 YOUTH PROJECTS in the WORLD for the 2025 UNFCCC Youngo Youth Project Compilation on Food, Agriculture, and Climate Action! 🏆🇳🇬

Out of countless youth-led projects globally, focused on the intersection of food, agriculture, and climate, our little initiative from Nigeria was chosen among the best 25.
What This Means:
✅ Global Recognition: Our work is now documented and showcased at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) level.
✅ Youth Leadership: It proves that Nigerian youth are not waiting for solutions—we ARE the solutions.
✅ Amplified Voice: This compilation will be seen by policymakers, funders, and climate leaders worldwide. The Learn to Impact model is now a global reference point.
We started with a simple idea: equip young Nigerians to transform our food systems. Today, the world is watching.

A federal government ministry looked at what we're building for young Nigerians in food and agriculture and said: "This is worthy of national support."

Have you heard about the Learn to Impact Initiative?

It’s a youth-driven initiative led by the Sustainable Food Systems Youth Foundation (SFSYF) and co-created alongside amazing youth groups like LCOY Nigeria, YPARD Nigeria, Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Youth Network Nigeria, and the Nigerian Youth Biodiversity Network

The initiative is formally endorsed by the Honourable Minister of Youth Development and co-championed by the National Task Team on Food Systems Implementation.

Learn to Impact aims to use the NYSC as a vehicle to reshape the future of sustainable food systems and nutrition in Nigeria through the Learn (SAED) → Impact (CDS) model — equipping corps members with knowledge and empowering them to drive real change in communities.

Together, we are building a generation of youth leaders transforming Nigeria’s food systems.

From Our Laptops to the Global Stage!
Guess what? The Sustainable Food Systems Youth Foundation just leveled up!
We are officially a Strategic Member of the Coalition of Action for Soil Health (CA4SH), a global alliance dedicated to fixing the ground beneath our feet.

But here is the part that gets us excited: We are taking the lead for Nigeria!
We are done waiting for change to happen. We are going to be the ones driving it.
We’re connecting young Nigerian agri-preneurs with soil health experts.
We’re advocating for policies that protect our farmland.
We’re mobilizing youth to see soil not as "dirt," but as the solution to the climate crisis.

The world is talking about soil health. We are here to make sure Nigeria is leading that conversation.

This International Women’s Day, we’re talking about the power of women in food. 💪🚜

At the Sustainable Food Systems Youth Foundation, we see every day that when young women are given a seat at the table, entire communities thrive. They are the ones driving climate resilience, preserving biodiversity, and reimagining our supply chains.

But supporting them requires more than words—it requires opportunity.
