3. Concerning IWBA Investment Programme/ Return on Investment:
There were debates and calls for the incumbent Chairman; Dcn. Stephen Chukwu; to increase the Return on Investment on the Investment Programme that the Union had with him.
He said that it will not be possible to honour the request, citing poor economic situation as the basis for his decision.
While the debate was still going on, he returned the loan of N***** to the Union’s purse; and expressed dissatisfaction over how the issue that led to that time has been; saying that he had even intended to return the loan before then.
On the other hand, members also felt dissatisfied, saying that the Chairman overreacted by returning the money even when the matter was still in deliberation.
However, the Return on Investment had been paid up to June. He seized the opportunity to inform the House on how much is in the Union’s purse; which is in the tune of N******; thereabout.
So, by the foregoing, the Investment Programme has been abruptly terminated.
