It’s Day 4!!! Charlotte Olajumoke Obasa

When the colonial government shut down the tramway and left Lagos commuters stranded, she didn't complain; she acted.

She didn't just qualify; she excelled, and then she came back to build a table for other women.

Celebrating Iconic women Day 2. Margaret Ekpo

Margaret Ekpo was one of the first women to be elected into the Eastern Nigeria House of Assembly, stepping into a political arena that had scarcely made room for women. She did not wait for that room to be made; she walked in and took her seat.

It's that amazing month where women and mothers are celebrated. And we are shining a light on notable African women who built strength in male dominated spaces; women who were focused, tenacious and goal driven. Women who had a vision, a dream, a purpose and refused to give up.
We are celebrating women who did what they had to do to build courage, heart and muscle to get to the top, and not just get there but remain there.
This Women's Month, meet the women who made history. 🌍✨. Mrs Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti was the first woman to drive a car in Nigeria, she also was among the first women to attend and teach at Abeokuta Grammar School,
She was a woman who consistently defied the limitations of her era. She pursued education and independence at a time when neither was considered a woman's place.
Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti was a fearless political activist, she mobilised thousands of Nigerian women to resist colonial oppression and unjust taxation, leading one of the most remarkable women-led movements in Nigeria's history. She did not simply occupy space in a male dominated world; she transformed it. 🌍✊🏾👑
