Happy World Environment Day!

For hundreds of thousands of farming families across Nigeria, planting a tree is an investment in the future—a future with healthier soils, more productive farms, and greater resilience to climate change.

This year, more than 700,000 farmers across Bauchi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau States will receive 19.6 million free tree seedlings through our Agroforestry Program. These trees will help restore degraded land, improve biodiversity, protect natural resources, and support sustainable livelihoods for generations to come.

Together, farmers are building a greener, more resilient future, one tree at a time.

Today, we join millions around the world in celebrating Eid al-Adha — a season that reflects the values of sacrifice, compassion, generosity, and community.

At One Acre Fund Nigeria, we remain inspired by the resilience and dedication of the smallholder farmers we serve every day. May this celebration bring renewed hope, peace, prosperity, and abundant harvests to homes across Nigeria and beyond.

Eid Mubarak from all of us at One Acre Fund Nigeria!

Input delivery to farmers is currently ongoing across all our districts of operation as One Acre Fund Nigeria distributes 9,000 metric tonnes of agricultural inputs on credit to 88,000 farmers ahead of the 2026 planting season.

The initiative is helping smallholder farmers overcome key barriers including limited access to credit, rising input costs, and delayed distribution, while contributing to national food security.

Through a combination of input financing, agronomic training, advisory support, and community level delivery, participating farmers are able to access quality seeds and fertilizer in time for planting, improving productivity and strengthening livelihoods.

Since launching in Nigeria in 2018, One Acre Fund has expanded to serve more than 600,000 farmers across Bauchi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau states.

With enrollment and input distribution ongoing, our teams are working behind the scenes to ensure that quality seeds, fertilizers, and other essential inputs reach farmers accurately and on time.

This coordination is critical to ensuring farmers can plant at the right time and maximize their yields.

Farmer enrollment for the 2026 Long Rains season is ongoing.

Farmer enrollment is more than just numbers; it is the backbone of a successful farming season. It ensures that farmers:
✔ Receive inputs on time
✔ Access training and extension support
✔ Are fully prepared before planting begins

By getting enrollment right, we set the stage for stronger yields, better planning, and long-term impact.

Every registration = access to seeds, training & support.

Forward this to a farmer who needs to enroll!

This season reminds us of hope, renewal, and new beginnings, values that resonate deeply with the work we do alongside farmers every day.

Just as Easter symbolizes new life, the farming season brings fresh opportunities for growth, resilience, and transformation across our communities. From planting seeds in the soil to nurturing livelihoods, this is a time of purpose and possibility.

As we continue farmer enrollment and deliver inputs to them for 2026 season, we remain committed to supporting farmers every step of the way; ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support to succeed.

May this Easter bring hope to our farmers, our communities, and our nation.

Happy Easter to you and your loved ones!
