Today we celebrate International day of the African Child, 16 June 2026.
The CCDI team returned to LEA Primary School, Kabusa, to deliver tables and chairs for the early learning class, where many of the children had been sitting on the floor.
This was a wonderful act of paying it forward, as the furniture was generously donated by The Graceville Christian Centre GracevilleCC with the request that it be passed on to a school in need—and we were delighted to choose Kabusa.
We also replenished the school's CCDI ENERI library with more books, bringing smiles and excitement to the faces of the little ones. Every chair, every table, and every book is an investment in a child's future.

Today, we call on the government to continue to invest in safe, well-equipped schools where every Nigerian child can learn, grow, and thrive with dignity.

Every child deserves to feel safe at school. Yet, too many children in Nigeria's public schools remain at risk of abuse, exploitation, and kidnapping.
At CCDI, we are calling for stronger safeguarding policies, improved security infrastructure, effective reporting systems, and a shared commitment to protecting every child. Safe schools create brighter futures - together, let's make them a reality.

Hooray, Start Smart September is here! Help us to send 200+ out of school children back to school this September 2026.

Our target is N5.7m (includes full back to school package and PTA fees). This year, we are supporting 2 dedicated teachers to ensure children in two public primary schools have better learning outcomes.
