Young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow. They are the changemakers of today.

This International Youth Day, we celebrate the courage, creativity, dreams, and voices of young people everywhere. At CCDI, we believe that when young people are empowered, possibility becomes reality.

Happy International Youth Day!

Every child in Nigeria has the right to succeed at learning - regardless of where they are born or their family's circumstances.

At Create That Change Development Initiative (CCDI), we have seen firsthand the incredible potential that exists in our public schools. We've also seen how simple interventions like safe toilets, well-stocked libraries, books, desks, school supplies, and supportive learning environments all can transform a child's confidence, attendance, and love for learning.

Quality education should never be a privilege reserved for a few. It is a fundamental right and one of the most powerful investments we can make in Nigeria's future. When we invest in children, we invest in stronger families, safer communities, and a more prosperous nation overall.

Holiday is here!!
The holidays are here, and it's time to rest, play, explore, and make wonderful memories! But while you're having fun, don't forget all you've learned this school year. Keep reading, keep practising, keep asking questions, and keep your mind growing.
At Create that Change Development Initiative (CCDI), we're already looking forward to welcoming children back to school through our Start Smart September Campaign, helping more children return to school ready to learn, succeed, and thrive.
We can't wait to see our children back, ready for a Smart Start this September!

Nigeria has taken a major step towards transforming education with the launch of the $552 million HOPE-EDU Programme, co-financed by the World Bank and the Global Partnership for Education.

The programme seeks to improve learning outcomes, expand access to quality education, and strengthen the education system for millions of Nigerian children.

At Create That Change Development Initiative (CCDI), we commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this bold investment in the nation's future.

CCDI's vision of "A Nigeria where every child and young person is empowered to reach their full potential" closely aligns with the goals of HOPE-EDU.

We stand ready to collaborate with government and development partners to help make this programme a success.

Together, we can ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

This September, let's give every child the chance to learn, dream, and thrive.

At Create that Change Development Initiative (CCDI), we believe every child belongs in a classroom—not on the streets.
Through our Start Smart September Campaign, we are working to help more children return to school equipped with hope, dignity, and the essentials they need to succeed.

Together, we can change a child's story—one school bag, one uniform, one opportunity at a time.
Join us in giving every child a Smart Start this September!

Hard road. Mission complete. ENERI delivered!
Big day in Shapé Community, Apo! CCDI just stormed into the LEA Primary School with brand new bookshelves, storybooks, and comfy mats for the pupils! All powered by ENERI – Enhancing Nutrition, Exercise & Reading Initiative.

Here’s the real talk: 600 residents live in Shapé. But 58 kids are still waiting outside the classroom door. Today we stacked shelves but in September we break down more barriers as our Start Smart September 2026 campaign is coming to get every out-of-school child into class where they belong. Support the mission!

Last week we joined QEDA and colleagues from UBEB and UBEC as part of the Technical Working Group for the NRED project.

Using AI to strengthen foundational numeracy, MamaMaths is helping primary school children better understand mathematics while supporting teachers with faster homework marking and valuable insights into each child's learning needs.

It was inspiring to hear about the progress that this pilot project has made so far and to contribute ideas on improving numeracy outcomes for children in public schools. A fantastic initiative making a real difference—well done to the MamaMaths team!
