πŸ“– TRUTH FROM THE FATHERS – TUESDAY
Welcome once again at The Mandate Bible College .

Today, we draw from the deep spiritual well of the early Church as we reflect on one of the greatest Church Fathers β€” St. Augustine.

πŸ‘‡πŸ½ Read, reflect, and be blessed:

Title: St. Augustine and the Beauty of Truth

β€œYou have made us for Yourself, O Lord and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.” – St. Augustine

One of the greatest theologians of the early Church, St. Augustine helped defend the faith against heresies and shaped Catholic theology on grace, sacraments, and the Trinity.

At The Mandate Bible College, we study the Church Fathers like:
πŸ”Ή St. Augustine
πŸ”Ή St. Athanasius
πŸ”Ή St. Jerome
πŸ”Ή St. Basil the Great

Their wisdom helps us guard the deposit of faith and deepen our love for truth.
πŸ“š Be formed by the timeless wisdom of the saints.

JUNE 29 | SOLEMNITY OF SAINTS PETER AND PAUL

Post Title: Pillars of the Church: Peter & Paul

Today, the Holy Church celebrates two of the greatest apostles of our faith β€” Saint Peter and Saint Paul.

πŸͺ¨ Saint Peter, the humble fisherman, was chosen by Christ to be the Rock upon which the Church would be built (Matthew 16:18).

✝️ Saint Paul, once a persecutor of Christians, became the fiery preacher to the Gentiles, declaring himself β€œa servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle” (Romans 1:1).

Though different in personality and mission, both apostles gave their lives in martyrdom for the same Gospel, and together they laid the foundation of the Church in Rome.

As Pope Benedict XVI once said:

β€œPeter and Paul are not simply two individuals but, together, they represent the whole mystery of the Church.”

πŸ”” May their courage, faith, and unity inspire us today to remain steadfast in the truth and bold in mission.

πŸ› Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us!

πŸ•ŠοΈ Saint of the Day – June 12
St. John of Sahagun (1419–1479)

A bold preacher, miracle worker, and defender of truth, St. John of Sahagun dedicated his life to reform, spiritual guidance, and confronting corruption with courage. From his early priesthood to his years as an Augustinian friar, he inspired many through his teaching, humility, and fearless defense of virtue even at the cost of his life.

May we be strengthened by his example to live with integrity and proclaim the Gospel with boldness.

πŸ“– Gospel of the Day – John 21:20-25
"What concern is it of yours? You follow Me." – Jesus

Today, we are reminded by the Lord that our journey with Him is deeply personal. Rather than comparing paths, Jesus calls each of us by name: β€œYou, follow Me.”

πŸ”” Let us trust in His plan for others, and remain faithful in the mission He entrusts to us.

πŸ™Œ May our lives, like the beloved disciple, testify to His truth and love – even if the world cannot contain all He has done.

CANONIZATION ALERT - Pope Leo XIV to Approve Canonization of Eight Blesseds in Vatican Ceremony on June 13

Vatican City – Pope Leo XIV will convene a consistory of cardinals at the Vatican on June 13 to grant final approval for the canonization of eight blesseds whose causes were advanced under the pontificate of Pope Francis.

The solemn gathering, known as an Ordinary Public Consistory, will mark a pivotal moment in the lives of these individuals, who are now set to be declared saints of the Catholic Church. The eight blesseds are recognized for their extraordinary holiness and virtue, and their elevation to sainthood signifies the Church’s formal recognition of their intercessory power and exemplary Christian witness.

These causes were initially championed by Pope Francis, whose papacy emphasized the recognition of diverse models of holiness, including laypeople, missionaries, and those who served the marginalized.

The consistory will take place at the Apostolic Palace and is expected to draw high-ranking prelates and members of the Roman Curia. A date for the canonization ceremonies is anticipated to be announced shortly after the consistory.

This event continues the Church’s centuries-old tradition of elevating to sainthood those whose lives inspire the faithful and reflect the Gospel's call to charity, humility, and faithfulness.
