The girl child shares all the previously mentioned rights and the following additional rights, which are required for more protections due to systemic gender inequality.

Education - Right to free primary education.

Right to secondary & higher education. (often denied due to early marriage, poverty, or cultural norms)

Protection from Violence Protection from all forms of abuse

Protection from female ge***al mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and gender-based violence (GBV)

Health - Access to healthcare - Access to menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and protection from maternal mortality.

Economic Rights - Protection from child labor.

Equal inheritance Rights - Access to financial resources, and economic empowerment.

Legal Rights - Right to identity and nationality.

Protection from discriminatory laws (e.g., marital r**e exceptions, unequal divorce rights)

Social & Cultural Rights - Right to cultural participation & Freedom from harmful traditional practices (e.g., widow inheritance.

Build a home where every child is equal but the girl child is valued and protected.

The Rights of every child (UNCRC & ACRWC)

1. Right to Survival & Development– Access to healthcare, nutrition, and a safe environment.
2. Right to Education– Free and compulsory primary education.
3. Right to Protection– From abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and child labor.
4. Right to Participation– Freedom of expression, thought, and involvement in decisions affecting them.

5. Right to Identity – Birth registration, nationality, and family relations.

6. Right to Non-Discrimination– Regardless of race, gender, religion, or disability.

7. Right to Family Care–
Protection from separation unless in the child’s best interest.

8. Right to Play & Recreation– Essential for mental and physical development.
