Cultural Leadership, Youth Power
G-WAF was present at a 2-day retreat in Lafia centered on
“The Role of Traditional Youth Chiefs in Community Development.”
The gathering brought together traditional youth leaders, civil society organizations, and community advocates to discuss how cultural institutions can support youth inclusion and sustainable development.
Why this matters:
Traditional youth chiefs serve as connectors between the past and the future.
Youth participation in governance is essential for real change.
Strengthening partnerships between cultural and civic groups creates stronger communities.
G-WAF remains committed to advancing youth empowerment, leadership, and grassroots development.
