We are excited to unveil Princess Dr Nikiwe MaNgxabane Bhabhanomhlehlo Bam as one of the official speakers at the Visionary African Women Summit Zambia.
Princess Dr. Nikiwe Bam is the Founder and Global President of Afrikan Indigenous Leaders, a continental platform that unites traditional institutions, communities, and leaders across Africa and the diaspora to advance cultural diplomacy, heritage preservation, and inclusive development.
She has served as Facilitator of the C20 Working Group on Cultural Diversity Recognition and Embracement under the G20 South Africa Presidency, and as a civil society representative on South Africa’s G20 thematic areas focusing on climate resilience, critical minerals, and just energy transitions.
An advocate for inclusive economies rooted in Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS), Princess Bam is an educator and Director of NPB SMT Academy, where she supports learners in Mathematics and Science and promotes STEMI, particularly among girls, through tutoring and career guidance.
She also leads Royal People Development Services and is the Founder of the Adopt an Elder Foundation, reflecting her commitment to intergenerational empowerment.
Her academic qualifications include a BSc in Chemistry and Applied Chemistry, a BSc (Hons) in Science Education, and a PGCE, alongside numerous certifications in Leadership, Governance, Diplomacy, Political Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Personal MBA programmes. She was also conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and Governance.
Princess Bam has received multiple recognitions, including the Humanitarian Award, the Queen Modjadji Human Rights Activist Award, and the Sovereignty Congress of African Leaders Natural Indigenous Leaders Award.
She serves as an Ambassador for PALI and as an Ambassador for Peace, and has played a pivotal role in launching and coordinating platforms that strengthen collaboration among traditional leaders across Africa.
Internationally, she has delivered keynote addresses and hosted sessions in Ghana, Botswana, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Benin, and Jamaica.
Princess Dr. Nikiwe Bam is deeply passionate about cultural unity, ethical leadership, women and youth empowerment, climate justice, and building sustainable, inclusive African economies that honour heritage while embracing innovation.
