LEADERSHIP IN ACTION: NYO OGUN MARKS IYD 2026 WITH TREE PLANTING
NYO Ogun State, led by Hon. Comrade Saka Olanrewaju, celebrated International Youth Day 2026 with a massive Tree Planting Exercise and Medical Outreach.

I, Hon. Comrade Saka Olarenwaju, on behalf of the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), Ogun State Chapter, heartily appreciate everyone who made the International Youth Day 2026 Celebration & Tree Planting Exercise a huge success.

Today, Wednesday 12th August 2026, we proved again that Ogun Youths are not just the leaders of tomorrow, we are the leaders of today. With the theme *"Green Future, Healthy Youths: Plant For Life"*, we planted trees for the next generation and provided medical outreach for healthy living.

Special Appreciation Goes To:
1. Mr. Kayode Akinwade, who ably represented the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Oladimeji Ola Oresanya. Thank you for your presence, support and commitment to a Greener Ogun.

My Dear Ogun Youths,

Today, Wednesday 12th August 2026, we join the rest of the world to commemorate *International Youth Day

On behalf of the Nigeria Youth Organization, Ogun State Chapter, I celebrate YOU the energy, the innovation, and the future of Ogun State and Nigeria.

This year’s theme reminds us that the future we desire is built by the actions we take today. A Green Future starts with us. Healthy Youths build a Healthy Nation.

That is why NYO Ogun is leading today with Tree Planting + Free Medical Outreach in Ado-Odo/Ota. Because youth development is not just about jobs and politics. It is also about environment, health, and sustainability.

To every young person in Ogun West, Ogun Central, and Ogun East:
1. Lead with Vision, Deliver with Action - Be part of solutions in your community
2. Protect our Environment- Plant a tree. Keep your street clean. Climate action is youth action
3. Prioritize your Health- Go for checkups. Mental health matters. A healthy youth is a productive youth
4. Engage Constructively - Partner with government. Your voice matters in policy and governance

I appreciate His Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun, our Hon. Commissioner for Environment Dr. Oladimeji Oresanya*, the Chairman Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, OGWAMA, NYSC, NYCN, NSCDC, So-Safe Corps, and all our partners including TAAG Media for supporting youths.

To the youth: You are not the leaders of tomorrow. You are the leaders of today.

NIGERIA YOUTH ORGANIZATION (NYO), OGUN STATE CHAPTER ATTENDS THE 8TH PENPUSHING MEDIA ANNIVERSARY AND ANNUAL LECTURE, HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING

Build the Youth, Build the Nation, Maintains the Elders.

Today, Thursday, 23rd July 2026, members of the Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO), Ogun State Chapter, attended the 8th Penpushing Media Anniversary and Annual Lecture in honour of the organization's Media Consultant, who also serves as the Chairman of Penpushing Media.

The event, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, attracted distinguished personalities from within and outside Nigeria. Among the notable guests were His Royal Majesty, Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Chief Femi Falana, SAN, renowned human rights activist, and several other eminent dignitaries.

Following the colourful anniversary celebration, the Nigeria Youth Organization held its first physical strategic meeting after previous resolutions reached by the State Executive Council.

During the meeting, new members were formally admitted into the organization and inaugurated into acting leadership positions across various local government areas after due deliberation and confirmation of the prescribed registration fee of ₦5,000, as announced by the State Director of Finance, Comrade Oluwatosin Adebayo.

In attendance were:

- Comrade Oluwatosin Adebayo – State Director of Finance
