*Ogun NYO Congratulates Senator Adeola Yayi On His Emergence As APC Governorship Candidate*

The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), under the leadership of Comrade Saka Olanrewaju, has congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) on his emergence as the governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections in Ogun State.

In a congratulatory message issued through the organisation’s Public Relations Officer, Comrade Edun Abdullahi, the NYO described Adeola’s victory at the party primaries as well-deserved, noting that it reflects his track record of service, political experience, and consistent engagement with people at various levels of governance.

“We congratulate you on your well-deserved emergence as the APC governorship candidate. Your track record, commitment to public service, and dedication to grassroots development make this victory a fitting one. We are confident that you will remain focused as you take on this new responsibility,” the statement read.

The NYO Ogun State Chapter wished Senator Adeola success in the 2027 governorship election, expressing optimism that he would deliver effective, inclusive, and people-oriented leadership if elected. The organisation further called for a peaceful and issue-based political season across the state.

*Ogun NYO Applauds NSCDC for Swift Intervention Over Mosquito Infestation in Ota Schools*

The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigeria Youth Organisation, NYO, has applauded the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for its prompt response to a complaint over severe mosquito infestation at St. Peter Catholic Primary School I and II, Ota.

The complaint was earlier raised by the Ogun NYO Chairman, Comrade Saka Olanrewaju, under the organisation’s Safe School Project after reports showed that teachers in the affected schools had resorted to wearing pop socks and gloves while teaching because of the disturbing mosquito invasion.

Following the complaint, officers of the Ota Division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, including the Safe School Desk Officer, visited the schools to assess the situation and determine the causes of the infestation.

During the visit, the officers met with the Headmaster of School II, Mr. Abioye and Mrs. Moshekola of School I. Their findings showed that poor sanitation around the school environment contributed largely to the mosquito problem.

The officers thereafter educated the school management on the need to keep the surroundings clean and also explained the health risks associated with an untidy environment.

As part of the intervention, the NSCDC team also met with the Secretary of St. Peter Catholic Church and informed her of the situation. She explained that the church had fumigated the premises last month.

However, the officers stressed that fumigation alone would not completely solve the challenge without regular environmental sanitation, especially the clearing of the gutters in front of the church which could serve as breeding spots for mosquitoes.

The team further visited the Health Office at Ota Local Government to report the bushy area beside the school fence, which was also identified as a major source of the infestation. A health officer, Mr. Kazeen, assured the team that the area would be clear

The Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), Ogun State Chapter, under the leadership of State Chairman, Comrade Saka Olanrewaju, has congratulated the Commissioner for Culture in Ogun State, Hon. Sesan Fagbayi, on the occasion of his birthday today.

In a statement issued by the State Public Relations Officer, Comrade Edun Abdullahi, the organisation described the commissioner as a youth-friendly and approachable public servant with a strong passion for cultural development in the state.

The group commended his efforts in promoting and preserving Ogun State’s cultural heritage, noting that his commitment to the sector has been commendable.

“We appreciate your diligence and commitment towards promoting our cultural heritage,” the statement read.

The organisation, on behalf of its members and the people of the state, wished the commissioner a happy birthday and prayed for more years of good health, wisdom and impactful service.
