TIRENI OLUWA BONOJO COOPERATIVE UNION LAUNCHES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM IN IJEBU ODE
The Tireni Oluwa Bonojo Ijebu Cooperative Multipurpose Union, on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, successfully launched its Women in Cooperative and Empowerment Program at the Union Office beside Dalat Shopping Complex, Bonojo, Ijebu Ode.
The event, hosted by the Union President, Hon. Omelaja Ayodele Nurudeen, attracted a distinguished audience of cooperative members, non-members, and stakeholders.
As part of the empowerment initiative, beneficiaries received household items such as freezers, grinders, gas cylinders and other essentials, all aimed at improving family welfare and enhancing women’s socio-economic impact.
A major highlight of the program was the election and formal inauguration of Mrs. Muideen Kikelomo as the President of the Women in Cooperative under the Tireni Oluwa Bonojo Cooperative Union.
In attendance were notable personalities including Mrs. Ayilara, the Ijebu Central Women in Cooperative leader, the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives, Cooperative Department officials such as Mr. Idowu, and the Ogun State Co-operative Federation Limited Officer, Mr. Abiodun Paul Okusolubo who all commended the Union for its commitment to women empowerment and cooperative growth.
Speaking at the event, leaders emphasized that empowering women through cooperatives is key to sustainable community development, as women play a vital role in family stability and economic advancement.
