Today 4th July, 2026, I have a radio conversation around the call of President Bola Tinubu's call warning Governors over frivolous projects. Other discussants are Dr. Festus Adedayo and Ola Animasaun
Issues discussed centred on Demand and supply side of governance, Mandate Protection with its principles of Electoral Integrity, Constitutional and legal boundaries, scope of authority outlining what an administration is authorized to do by balancing the implementation of promised policies with the protection of the minority rights as well as how to use the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) to engage Ministries, Department and Agencies
The Program also identified some projects that could be termed as frivolous as well as consequences of frivolous spending by the government
